Micro drill

for easy rivets

Also tiny leather punch and card stock/ plasti card.

Or Insta mold and hex bolts of you need those.

Or cut rods.

The skys the limits.

If you have punch pliers you can take a sheet of plasticard and press out a bunch of'em, much easier, faster and you get even rivets. i bought one for 8 bucks, works wonders

I believe 1mm was the smallest I saw.

Personally, I like the 2mm for most applications.

Any ideas for slightly larger rivets, while we're at it?
I'm looking to fake-rivet a las-pistol prop, but honestly I'm not sure what to use. Been wondering about clipping the stalks off drawing-pins.

what about actual nails then? drill holes and then glue in the nails... there´s so many different ones on the market that a slightly rounded one should be able to get found...

Get some TINY plastic or metal rods.

Cut lengths of rod that are about 3/32" (a little longer than 1/16").

Then drill holes where you want your rivets, and insert the rods.

Then file them down to where they just BARELY stick out of the surface.

This produces rivets that will survive being knocked around, as well as a high-pressure mold-making process.

I don't have the facilities to drill steel, or clip nails unfortunately.
With time I could find someone else who can, but I want to get along with the pistol work at home.
