So the Dark Shroud has the Icon of Caliban. This grants stealth to all friendly units but not to the "Darkshroyds themselves". How does this interact with the Ravenwing Support Squad? Does the whole unit only have Shrouded? Or do the Landspeeders still get stealth thus giving the whole unit Stealth and Shrouded?
The "does not affect the Darkshrouds themselves" wording is very vague in regards to this situation. There could even be a 3rd option of the Landspeeders get stealth so the unit has stealth and shrouded but the Darkshroud counts as only having Shrouded (this I think is closest to RaW).
What do people think?

Well, as they become one entire unit, everyone gets shrouded. I believe GW didn't notice this (similar thing with venomthrope)

The wording in the book is awful but since the other speeders are in the same unit as the darkshroud, I think they would likely only get shrouded. Friendly units within 6" for stealth seems to imply units other than the Darkshrouds own, plus a 1+ rerollable jink save doesn't seem like RAI either.

In ever other incidence of friend units within X" the unit itself has received the buff. The exclusion only applies to the Darkshroud itself nothing states the Speeders don't get it, so wehave general ppermission and no exclusion.

Pedro Cantor from 6th edition, Hold The Line Rule, has the same wording. Granted 7th made the rule moot but I doubt it was ever contested that if Predo joined a unit of vets they would lose scoring.
It's something that was probably not intended but I see the Land speeders gaining both Stealth and Shrouded as it's written today.

It really doesn't matter though because in the rules it says cover saves from stealth and shrouded are cumulative to a maximum of 2+. So even if it did confer stealth, it will never be a 1+ for the sake of negative modifiers.

Stealth and shrouded confers a 4+ cover without needing to jink, or a 2+ cover if you're obscured by 5+ terrain so it is quite useful.

True, although you lose your ability to reroll if you don't jink. I'll take a 2+ rerollable all day.
Either way, I totally see your points as incredibly valid and can see how someone can be devils advocate on both sides of the coin. I have a feeling this will be in the FAQ as well if there ever is one.

Not sure about that one.
Don't you first apply all the positive modifiers, thus giving it 2+, and then apply the negative modifier?, thus making it a 3+?...

No, you apply all (additive) modifiers at the same time, so you'll have +2 +1 -1 netting you a +2 modifier.
