Has anyone ever given thought to whom they would choose/cast as the voice of their favorite Character in 40K, or other GW genre.

Even though it is not precisely a GW invention, I always imagined the Fighting Uruk-Hai from the Lord of the Rings to be cast as Morbo - the News Monster from Futurama. Whenever I see the words "WE AE THE FIGHTING URUK-HAI!", I hear them yelled in the voice of Morbo the News Monster. I think all of the Uruk-hai should have his voice (like they are the Clone Troopers of Middle-earth).

And Benedict Cumberbatch would make an excellent voice for the Emperor of Mankind. Or maybe Horus.

I keep wondering, if he were still with us, if Phil Hartman would have been able to do a voice for a 40K character. Maybe a Goblin or Orc?

Paul Ruebens would make an excellent Herald of Slaneesh

As would Ru Paul.

I wonder if Jim Parson's would work as a Librarian or AdMech Skitarii Commander (That would be Sheldon Cooper).

I am not up on many of the named characters of the SM Legions or Chapters.

So... How about casting a 40K Series, Mini-series, or Movie, for the fun of it?

Occasionally. But once I remember John Hurt I get stuck and decide he should do everything alongside Ian Mckellen.

This one and James Mason as Abbadon are the best I can think of.

What about some non-humans?

Were there ever any Squat characters?

What about Orks, Eldar, Tau???

I was thinking someone like Osamu Saka (The Voice of Chief Daisuke Aramaki in the various Ghost-in-the-Shell series) for one of the Tau (I really should know more about the Tau).

And maybe a German or Russian for the Orks...

I would have to look over possibilities.

Sean Pertwee as Gregor Eisenhorn, voice / live action role

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Nah orks have got to be cockneys, or east London at the least. Danny Dyer, the lads from Gavin and Stacey, etc

The whole cast of Eastenders could do a runtherd...

The guy that did the voice for Olaf the Snowman as any Space Marine. He would obviously need a musical number as well.

Then every thing would be superfun and special.

Haha - yeah blatantly! Don't forget Ray Winstone as the Warboss

Christopher Lee would have done an awesome Mortarion.

At one point I had a full mental cast list for the opening trilogy of the Horus Heresy. Can't remember it all, but here's a few:

Horus: Mark Strong, the only option really. His voice work on Space Marine was just perfect!

Loken: Chris Hermsworth
Torgaddon: James Purefoy
Abbadon: Manu Bennet
Maloghurst: Alan Rickman

Erebus: Marc Warren

Fulgrim: Lee Pace
Lucius: Jason Flemyng

And in a brighter world, Christopher Lee as the voice of the Emperor.
