i am looking for other weapon options without to much cutting and such and i am curious as to the size between the two arms (space marine scouts, and IG / AM arms) .. would anyone happen to have a photo or two .. or some laying around that they could snap a pic so i could see if they are comparable size? .. like the shoulder section and arm length and so forth.

I can't get you a picture, sorry.

But I can tell you that the Scout arms are far too big for Guardsmen - and that Guard arms are far too small for Scouts.

There is a considerable difference between lengths/widths/shoulder pad sizes.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

i beg to differ... it is a quite often used way to convert guardsmen into vets...

https://www.google.de/search?q=shotgun+guardsmen&client=opera&hs=MPQ&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=7cWcVZz1EoO9swGnh5LYDg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1536&bih=758#tbm=isch&q=scoutarms+guardsmen

i bet there is some cutting involved.. but in essence i would do it too as i have gathered already quite a big amount of scout arms already for that purpose...

Answered it in a good way or rather bad way?

In a good way of course just placed an order for some arm bits.

I was trying to use the Scout HB arms on a Guardsman, but it was awfully misaligned. Might have to give it another go.

I imagine it will require some fitting and such .. but the size is about right and that was my main concern

You need to do some chopping and bodging for sure. For my shotgun Veterans I cut the guns from the SM arms, but left the moulded Scout hand on the grip on some. You can't really notice the size difference, but the arms on tehir own looked a bit monkey arms-ish. Perfectly adaptable, but not 100% compatible out of the box.

I built a guardsman with scout arms, and to compensate a bit for the size difference I added a bullet belt across the chest and a backpack. Worked great, can use it as either a Scout or other man sized model.

If you can see me, I can see you.
If you cant see me, I can still see you.
If you never saw me, then you are already dead.
