Does anyone know where I could find a nice giant or ettin model? Forgeworld used to have a sorta-ok-looking ettin but it's out of print now. I'm hoping to find something thats not very cartoony.
Thank you for any advice given!

Quite massive indeed! Cool nonetheless. A bit on the expensive side though. Thanks for the suggestion

I'd look through the Reaper range first. Admittedly, their giants tend to not look monstrous, just scaled up normal people. But you can have sexy giantesses!

I sure have. They look great and are full of potential. The scaling on their giants seem a bit off though. But I will consider them.

You could always check out some of the Older Ral Partha stuff on eBay, or that is still sold through Iron Wind Metals.
It is actual 25mm Scale stuff (with the stuff in the 1990s verging on 28mm).
But the largest giant they make is only about 3" tall.
They tended to have a philosophy that they wanted their products to reflect a more realistic design philosophy, and an 18" tall humanoid is really about the largest "Giant" you are going to get, and still be able to walk on only two legs (instead of having to crawl).
This one remains one of my favorite giants of theirs:
I would deduct points from the painter of this one, because the model has a blue-jay nest in the beard (including Blue-jays, who are not painted here), as well as a squirrel living in his hair, a lizard climbing up his abdomen, as well as other "Critters" living on his body.
I am personally fond of the "Hecatron" Giant made by Partha (I could not find a better painted example):
Ral Partha also made several models of actual "Ettins."
Beware this one is expensive if you can find it (It also looks better if you cut the club's tip off the base and bend the arm upward and forward slightly):
Pretty much any of the Tom Meier 1979 - 1983 Giants (He did the original Warhammer Giants in 1983/84 for Citadel) are awesome.

This fellow isn't Ral Partha - he was from Grenadier, one of the Giant Club minis.
He is, over all, my favorite ettin.

Reaper Minis do a very affordable Ettin in their Bones range:
http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Ettin/a-z/77103
Only 5 dollars.
Descent Journeys in the Dark also has some Ettins, as does the latest D'n'D Boardgame.

Have I mentioned lately that Bones have given me back a lot of the fun of miniature painting?
And that being able to let kids paint their own Bonesium miniatures is a great way to induct them into the cult hobby?

That IS a Three Stooges Ettin.
And, somewhere out there is a Three Stooges Ettin that I entered into the Gencon Painting Competition in 1985 that won second place in Fantasy Miniatures from my miniatures my wife stole.
Ral Partha was forced to stop selling it after a few years, when the studio that still had the rights to The Three Stooged sent them a C&D letter.
I keep wanting to re-do it, but dressed as the Three-headed Knight from Monty Python & the Holy Grail.

I own both of them as well.
I just have not gotten around to painting them yet (low priority, since painting the Three Stooges is just a fun model with no explicit use, and the Cloud Giant will belong to something that is way down my list of painting priorities).
But, then I will eventually replace ALL of my old Tom Meier Ral Partha sculpts (One thing I want to do eventually is get permission to scan them and then print out 30mm re-sized models of all of these, to match the scale of Tom's newer products - I would LOVE to have his old Sea Elves, Wood Elves, and High Elves for an Army that could be used alongside the newer models he makes).
I just started painting my replacement Hecatron last night, in fact. I am going to be using him as a Mordor Olog-Hai.
