It was all painted in Vallejo colours, Middlestone #118 for the yellow and Cavalry Brown #137 for the red oxide primer. I've always been a bit dubious of tanks modelled in this as I don't believe they ever would have entered the field without even a slap of yellow or green over them - but for something knowing ahistorical I like the effect.
Thanks, I've only just looked at the photos on a full size screen and, not wanting to blow my own trumpet too much, think they really give it more presence than the model has in real life. It's easy to forget that, to my eye at least, it's only 5" long as it looks larger. I'll take some of these techniques to my 1/35 modelling now that I've had a go on this one.
