I am guessing that this has come up, but if not here is the idea as seen in the title.

I realize that the armies will be off point wise per say with new abilities and rules, however it would keep some structure per say. Such as play 1500 points... you field your armies (i realize that there are not really any added upgrades anymore so would be generic points given) and goblins would have more numbers than an army of chaos warriors this way as an example as well as limit unit sizes as in the old system (max 20 men to unit X or 40 men to unit Y etc). You can use units loose or in ranks from what i gather and just count everything to bases not models.

Use the AOS for main mechanic and the unit rules/special rules...

I realize a lot of people like using wounds, or just fielding things w/o points.. this is just an idea that i been toying with for my own purposes and to give it some of the old school feel at least to me and maybe my brother.

I have not been able to play a game of AOS yet. I am tempted to play against myself using this idea as i dont have anyone to play with... thus i am sort of seeing if people have done this or considered this idea and if so how it had worked or not worked?

And where would I get points for all my new Stormcast Eternal and Khorne Bloodbound models?

If you want to play with point based, premade lists, just play 8th. AoS's core mechanics run counter to both points and premade lists.

Not only is misquoting someone rude, you didn't even spell correctly in your post. Offending/related posts removed, no more of that

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

I think it's not going to work that well. Point values in WFB were calculated based on stats, special rules and synergies that don't exist anymore and were replaced.

If you really want some points values for AoS units, you should (in my opinion) test some of the comps people are posting on the forums and give them feedback. :-) You might find the balance you're looking for AND you can help them! Win-win!

A good example is the Azyr Comp. Haven't used it myself yet, as I have very little time for gaming nowadays, but it looks promising.
