Hi... I don;t actually play X-wing, I'm on the attack wing side of the fence... but I have noticed something that straddles both system and, since over on the STAW boards we complain about it more i wondered if you guys just manage easier.
Big All Arc Ships
For us its the Borg but I noticed in a few threads you guys also have big ships with all arcs, obviously this tend to be at odds with the flightpath system which is... well lets be honest at least 50% of the game. Recently our Borg were nerfed to reduce the range of the 360 attacks and had their movement system altered to reign them in a bit but still some complaints, not so much that their overpowered more that 360 arcs on all your ships kinda detracts from the gameplay, just wondered what opinions were in this camp.
And goddamit if your ships look nicer then ours..... frikkin wizkids......

It's been reigned in a bit on our side too, although it was nowhere near the shenanigans Ive heard you guys have had to deal with. Fat han is merely tough here, you can still beat him fairly easy with a swarm. The issue is when he has an arc dodging ace backing him up.
If anything, our Borg cube was the pre nerf phantom. Whisper with Advanced cloaking device, vet instincts, fire control, and gunner practically dominated the game for a while at the tourney level until Ffg needed it a bit. The meta is still recovering from it to a degree (its why you see so many turrets, it was the only way most knew how to deal with a cloaking ship) Now that phantoms are easier to predict, the need for Ps9, initiative, and a turret are far less important now.
I would not be opposed to turret ships being limited to range 1-2 without an upgrade though. Ships like the Y wing and HWK with turret upgrades only had range 2 until recently and felt very balanced. The smaller range was compensated for by a 360 firing arc.

So I've been out of the game for a little while now, and everybody on the forums mentions "fat Han," but what exactly is it? I know it's Han in the falcon, by what else is involved?
Basically it is a Han in yt-1300 with title and c3p0 crew. Then fill in all most all upgrade slots with things you want. He usually clocks in around 55 -60 points.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light,and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.
