The new White dwarf app is out now on iOS and android. I took one for the team and decided to check it out. The most surprising thing is that it is actually slightly cheaper than before. It was £2.49 before but now it is £2.30. Not much difference but still surprising given GW's track record. The one year subscription is £75, compared to £120 for the physical version. I bought the most recent issue and it now looks like a high quality scan of the physical version. Unfortunately there are no interactive elements which is a shame. Overall it is a big improvement over the terrible ePub versions from before but not as good as the original digital white dwarf monthly. I miss the videos.

I dunno. I liked the ePub versions. You could zoom in on images in paint splatter for one. This new WDW is crap. May as well just scan the bloody thing and pdf it.

I'm thinking the exact same thing. This is measurably worse. You could crack open the epubs and save the paint tutorials and images to a folder. Now you can't.

Can't you just screenshot the paint tutorials?

Still want it to be sold in the supermarket so I can get the Mrs to pick it up with the weekly shop!
