Just curious how people decide when to post "PM sent" in other users Swap Shop threads. Is it case by case or do you always post it when you are interested?

I am gonna be honest I frequently forget to add PM sent. I probably should do it before I PM them so it bumps up their post...

I rarely post "PM sent" but if I do it is because:

1. I already sent the PM and have not heard back from the other party after 24 hours. By posting in their thread I hope to get their attention that they have a message waiting in their inbox.
2. To discourage other parties from sending offers for something I want. I have no idea if this actually works, but the hope is that someone else who might be interested in the item will see my message and figure the item is already spoken for.

Only if I accidentally hit reply rather than PM. If that happens I will edit the post to PM sent and then send the PM.

I'd post when I sent a PM (and specify about what if there is a list of stuff for sale)

there's at least a chance doing so will deter others from getting in touch meaning I'm less likely to loose out or have to pay more than I want to

(after a deal is reached I'd expect the seller to post that X is gone)

I rarely do, I think it's a legacy from Bartertown, which used a forum software that made PMs pretty easy to miss.
