Just curious how people decide when to post "PM sent" in other users Swap Shop threads. Is it case by case or do you always post it when you are interested?

I rarely post "PM sent" but if I do it is because:
1. I already sent the PM and have not heard back from the other party after 24 hours. By posting in their thread I hope to get their attention that they have a message waiting in their inbox.
2. To discourage other parties from sending offers for something I want. I have no idea if this actually works, but the hope is that someone else who might be interested in the item will see my message and figure the item is already spoken for.
