Any ideas on where to find a decent amount (4-5) of sword models that are sheathed? I have one that is attached to an arm from the Sternguard box and I'd love to use a bunch as Force weapons for Librarians, so their hands can be free. I want to make it look like they're focusing on casting some power, rather than chopping a dude in half.
You can look on Ebay for bits. The Sternguard and Black Templar both have a sheathed sword you can find by typing in "40k sheathed sword". Though they come with 1 per purchase. Besides that you could look up whfb for high elf sheathed swords (but they look like they belong to Eldar more than SM what with their gems.) or find normal power/force swords and green stuff or plasticard on a sheath.
Why not just Gstuff a Cloth/Leather sheath and stick a crossguar and hilt on top. Or just take a power sword, chop off the hand, stick Plastic Tube on theback, glue to Marine, ad strap (plasticar, Gstuff). PRESTO, U GOTS SHEATHED SWORD!!!!
