Okay I've decided to build a new AoS army and would like to come up with something somewhat unique. But I'm about as creative as a potato so I need some help. I'm open to probably any idea as long as it doesn't involve high elves (I have wayyy too many already). Doesn't matter what companies models are used as a starting point or anything like that either.

My unoriginal ideas so far include- undead elves/dwarves etc, witch hunter empire, various historical based empire.

And honestly thats about it. None of which I'm feeling too much.

halp me internet

I like the idea of a Witch Hunter army.

I think it would be fun to see an Ogre army, but with some humans in it that the Ogres are using as a literal meat shield. The humans charge in and fight under fear of death...but they might just get eaten anyway. The humans could have a very feral look.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I had an idea yesterday for an Order force based around the Dwarf Slayers that went to the realm of fire.

Based on this image:
Spoiler:

So a primarily Dwarf force with slayers & flame cannons.

Then for a bit of spice add in some Lizardmen Salamanders and Razordons with converted dwarf handlers.

As a centerpiece I would aim for a conversion replicating the dwarf from the image riding a Carnosaur painted in a similar style to the beast in the image as a Kroq-Gar / Scar veteran stand in.

Yea of the ones I listed the witch hunter is the one I like the most anyway. But Im hoping someone out there is a little more creative than me.

I can sort of picture some enslaved human thing going on for ogres. At the very least its better than the only ogre idea I had come up with.

Oh I also forgot to put pirate ogres on the list. But titan forge pretty much has an entire model line of them at this point so they arent too high on my list. Suppose there is always pirate orcs as well.

As far as that dwarf stuff. That would probably make a really cool model. Ive never been too big on allies/mixing army stuff though. So not a huge fan of putting salamanders etc in there with slayers and the like.

I do like the whole molten theme thing though. I might be able to work with that somehow... Maybe an army of the things they fought when they went into the realm of fire or something ... *tries not to have molten core flashbacks*

Could go with a fire-themed Ogre army utilizing a bunch of firebellies. Convert and paint a stonehorn to look igneous/molten, paint black/grey Yhettis with obsidian weapons, etc.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Toward the send of the game, sensing defeat, roll a D6.

On a 6 yell "BY FIRE BE PURGED" and proceed to wipe your opponents army off the table.

I'm liking the Fire Ogres above though!

Was browsing around for fire stuff. Found some interesting ideas. Was thinking about a big rock golem thing done up all magma like for a treeman and then smaller stuff for treekin and dryads...

And then I stumbled upon this...

and my jaw hit the floor.

Yeah I had seen that army before, lots of love went into it and it looks fantastic. Haha, it's one of those armies that baffles even creative folk

Been thinking about doing some sort of naga thing. But two issues.

The first being Im not quite sure what to use as the uh bottom half of the model. (I have found one thing that would work it just would be very expensive)

And the second Im not sure how to really make the units look too different. So far it would just end up being the same basic models with different weapons and the like. Not that great really.

Oh also not really sold on just using ravener parts before someone suggests it
