Hi all, I had a quick question regarding the building kits sold on the Games Workshop website.

Now I know (or at least I'm pretty sure) that once a model is sold out/discontinued they remove it from the website entirely.

So my question is this: Concerning 40k scenery, was there ever a generic building just being sold? Right now we have these civilian buildings available to buy:

Manufactorum
Basilica Administratum
Sanctum Imperialis
Shrine of the Aquila

I could have sworn there was just a generic destroyed building (in addition to the above) that they sold. Did it ever exist or am I just losing my mind?

They had gothic ruins (that first appeared in the 3rd edition box) and the old cityfight buildings if that's what you mean? I don't think they are available any more.

Yeah I asked my local GW manager and he roughly said the same thing. Guess it was just my imagination, although I might have been thinking of the Administratum kit the entire time.

Ah well

they did used to sell way back a building that was quite plain but that was quite a few years ago

SPACE MARINES
imerial guard
skitarii

space marines: an army where if morale is down you look at your commander for inspiration and you valiantly fight on and kill m any in the name of the emperor

imperial guard: if morale gets low your commander shoots one of your comrades and expects that to encourage you

There is the 'Honoured Imperium', the marine statue with couple of ruins; the discontinued 'Chapel of Sanctuary'; the discontinued urban barricades, ork barricades, moon craters.

The 'City of Death' kit which compromise of the manufactum, administrum, and the sanctus might include a few more sections to make additional small ruins.(I can't confirm but heard through rumors)

FW had made some city of death boobie traps that are now discontinued.

Ok.

I must say that I was entering this thread and was hoping for some really cool rules/ideas for destructable terrain.

Now I need to figure something out, becouse wouldn't that be great?!

.....so it goes.

I have played in a table were evey turn a random piece of terrain was removed. Any models in or touching it = destroyed no save.

Justified by saying "geological and environmental effects have impacted the area"

Forced everyone to play out of cover or risk losing a unit.

Needless to say that tournament was a joke. That game came right after
"Your most expensive unit is a traitor and switches sides. So you give up your most expensive non hq unit and get the same from the other guy" - I ended up losing a squad of nob bikers and getting back a unit of 30 gaunts. Leaving my war boss on bike without a bodyguard. Fun stuff.
