Heyhey, here are pictures of a Viking warband I recently finished for Saga:

Most of the minis are by Wargames Foundry. Great, great sculpts, lovely casting quality. Some of the Warriors are from Saxon Miniatures (nice sculpts as well). The peasants and cards are by Gripping Beast (some of their better metal minis).

Hope you like them.

There is more to come. Quite a few great sculpts from sets of 'vikings having fun' sets and some leader figures (plus: vikings on horses!), but this is the main force. C&C welcome!

Oh, they look beautiful. I've always loved Vikings.

It'd be a shame to get blood all over my nice new outfit...

@Beta: Thanks very much.

@Harley Quinn: Yeah, thanks muchly. I really like the way this horde looks as well.

@Iceman: As I wrote in the posting (all that letters stuff underneath the pictures), it's mostly Wargames Foundry minis with some Saxon Miniatures models. The peasants (not the priests and looting scenes, those of course are Foundry as well) and horsecarts are by Gripping Beast.

@Cleatus: Cheers, much appreciated.

7 Berserkers and 14 warriors? Do you know how they are figuring that out? They should be multiples of 4

4 Hearthguard = 8 Warriors = 12 Levy.

I'd also be interested to know if the priest is for the C&C priest you can now take.

Regardless, very well done models. I have some of those Foundry models myself, and they are all good stuff even if very expensive.

@Icelord: No worries, it can happen quickly between all the pictures.

@LeCacty: Thanks!

@Sammoth: Cheers, much appreciated.

@Maniac_nmt: Yeah, I know. The customer likes having a nice collection first and probably had the figures like that. The figures also are perfectly fine along the lines of the Saga system of course. 12 levy archers, 14+8 warriors and two more in the making, 8 hearthguard with great axes, 7 berserkers (which I guess are hearthguard. Don't have the vikings list in my mind as it's been a while since I played saga. It's not exactly my favourite set of rules for dark age stuff) + 1 from the hearthguard dudes if push comes to shove. I don't think that four points of hearthguard is particularly popular a choice. Would be weird using the priest as a viking priest, wouldn't it? I don't think that he's got much of an "in-game effect", but if there's something you need for dark age gaming it's civilian population in general. And lifestock. And lootables in general. Otherwise the whole thing doesn't make much sense I think.

@corpuschain, Trondheim: Indeed.

Thanks for the comments, everybody!

Lovely minis by the way. I really dig the priest and the berserkers.

You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!

@Harley Quinn: Thanks muchly.

@konst80hummel: Cheers. Again, I really, really enjoy these Foundry minis. It's the good stuff.

@Cosmic: Well, they are elusive beasts...

@Barnzie4Moop: Yeah, you played a part in me getting the motivation to put the whole warband on the table, get the terrain out and all. And it was so worth it.

Fantastic looking army. You are so very talented.

Are the shields hand painted or decals?

Thanks, CptJake. It's decals, with a bit of weathering on top. However, I got decals cut to fit Gripping Beast shields rather than Foundry shields, so I had to cut all of them to fit those. Luckily for me there aren't too many shields in that army.
