In your experience, what is the fastest army to play?

Let me see if I can clarify. I wouldn't be able to get to my local GW shop until 5pm. They close at 7pm Tues - Thurs, so long games really aren't in the picture. Plus, I have other things I need to take care of. Fridays are usually pretty packed, so no guarantee for a table. Saturdays are when I'll be able to break out my 2000 point armies.

I'm looking for a small, maybe 800 to 1000 point army that can fit in a Citadel Skirmish case, be unpacked, played, and packed up again in right about an hour. I'd rather not lose each time, but I'm not competitive either. These games will just be for fun. I'd also just prefer not to play Chaos.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Grey Knights. You won't have many models to pack and unpack.

you can play Monstrous Creature Tyranid, using Mucolids as your troops.

Rhino-Based Astarte's
Grey Knights

Tau, Crisis Suits and Tanks, with moderate amounts of pathfinders.

Any army with small amounts of big models.

Grey Knights, Space Marines (this is less true with the recent codex), Dread Mob orks / a few of the formations from Waaaaagh Ghaz, MC spam nids / flying circus nids. Tank spammy IG

Sisters are pretty fast if you put your models back in the case as they die. Strong enough to win you games, but with a high attrition rate in the process.

Also favor mechanization, rather then footslogging. If they are in the tank, you don’t need to worry about deploying everyone.

Avoid librarians. While nice, they have a lot of overhead in picking powers, generating charges, etc. It’s a phase you can skip.

Jetseer with mantle, 2x10 DA in Serpents, 3 Warwalkers with dual scatterlasers.

Them- Sure, I'm playing a WD list with X army.
You- Cool I'm breaking out my knights.
Them- Erm actually no thanks.
