Jim's list is brutal looking...Frankie's is no slouch...but the poor brass scorpion...without the grim on him the cent. star will hull him out in one volley...there is the hope that the greatest 40k player ever can hold all his dice to block gate each turn...then the scorpion can do work...should be interesting...I will def. be tuning in for this one...I will assume this is Jim's Nova list...can't be frankie's though...you bringing the gladius to Nova Frankie?...

It WAS my NOVA list. But after some playtesting, I will be making some changes to it.

Most what happened was due to stomp no? This is something we don't have to worry about at nova. I was going to run something similar at Nova but I need 2 more storms and don't have the time or gumption to get them ready.

Right. His scorpion had 5 stomps and for the 1st 2, he rolled double-6's. Those 2 stomps alone took out 4 characters and 2 centurions, including Draigo and my Daemonhammer libby.

My main concern at Nova is how to deal with multiple Warp Spiders with just 1 deathstar. That's a problem I'm going to have to deal with.

Is nova allowing unlimited warp jumps? I probably should read their finalized FAQ haha. I have a lot of concerns for my centstar at nova. Eldar not really one of them, for me it's the demons that get me...

Yeah, they are. And my 1st round opponent at the Invitational is playing pure Eldar.

And if I somehow manage to get past him, I'm probably going to play Nick Nanavati's Daemons afterwards.

Shriek and split fire versus them plus I think pyromancy primarus is template.

I don't have my book with me, but if the Warp Spider defensive jump move can only be done in the Shooting Phase as opposed to the Psychic Phase, then psychic shooting is definitely an option.

Everytime I Psi shriek someone at nova all I'll be thinking about is "that's telekinesis Kyle"

If you try and separate psychic shooting from Shooting Phase, the game breaks down. Of course, you play in tournaments that make up whatever rules they want, so I guess that's a non-issue.

Psychic phase =/= Shooting phase

It says shooting attack it doesnt mention a specific phase.

So were back to warp spiders being the trolliest unit in the game, perfect! ;p

I'll look into the spider rules as well as psychic shooting after I get off work.

Ok, just looked it up. The Flickerjump rule says that the spider can make the special move if it is the target of a shooting attack. It does not specify what phase it has to be so unfortunately, the spiders can still move if shot at in the Psychic Phase.

Jim this has nothing to do with strategy or anything but I did notice in the battle report you were like "Frankie hasnt beaten me in like forever" or something like that. Than Karma said what did you say and she hit you with 2 stomps lol!
