Looking to make this as competitive with the current Meta as possible. I want it to be tailor made to kill Eldar with Scatbikes and a Wraithknight, MSU Space Marines with Razorback Spam and have enough weight of fire to kill a Decurion of Necrons. Let's see what CSM can still do.
Typhus - 230pts
Sonic Dreadnought w/ Missile Launcher, Blastmaster & Warp Amp - 190pts
Sonic Dreadnought w/ Missile Launcher, Blastmaster & Warp Amp - 190pts
7x Plague Marines w/ Melta Bomb, Combi-Plasma & Power Sword Champion, 2x Plasma Guns, Dedicated Rhino w/ Dozer Blades - 268pts
7x Plague Marines w/ Melta Bomb, Combi-Plasma & Power Sword Champion, 2x Plasma Guns, Dedicated Rhino w/ Dozer Blades - 268pts
3x Spawn w/ Mark of Nurgle - 108pts
Heldrake w/ Baleflamer - 170pts
Relic Sicaran w/ Lascannons, Seige of Vraks Legacy & Dozer Blades - 195pts
2x Obliterators w/ Mark of Nurgle - 152pts
3x Obliterators w/ Mark of Nurgle - 228pts
Depending on what my opponent's army looks like, the triplet Obliterators will either be in the ground Turn 1 to shoot Las and Plasma Cannons over the course of the game or held back in Deep Strike to make a late in the game attack with Plasma Guns, Assault Cannons and whatever else they may need to use to kill things in the back of the field. The twins will be with Typhus as a dedicated 'close fire' squad, also Deep Striking whenever possible. Typhus just unlocks the Plagues, so I could ditch him if need be. I don't have Zombies so a simple Lord is a possibility as well. I I like the threat of a Destroyer Hive if anything is ballsy enough to get into combat with the unit though. The Plagues are Objective grabbers of course and the Sonics are the anchors on either side of my deployment. Each one is putting out TWO S8 AP3 Blasts w/ Ignores Cover if they stand still, and a Krak Missile for good measure. I am very good at rolling ones, so many hits will be had. Like I said, tailor made to kill Bikes, Jetbikes and MSU. The Sicaran bounces from cover to cover if able and has everything needed to survive. Dozer Blades allowing a reroll and a 4+ chance of ignoring the effects if I do pull up snake eyes. Spawn are the Tarpit unit if anything needs to stopped in its tracks.
What am I missing? What isn't needed? I don't have an answer to Flyrants, but do have a decent amount of durability. I think that it will have to go to the dice for that one and just hope I can score some good hits on the multi-shot version of my weapons.

Why Typhus? You've got no zombies. I think the standard LC/PF nurgle biker lord would work better for list and for less points. Can't comment on the sonic dreadnought but they seem cool at least. I like melta better for the plague marines but that's just a personal preference.

Agree.. lord on bike would be way better. Take crimson slaughter if you want to really beef him up. Slaughterers horns, daemonheart etc.
I keep hating but I'd drop the oblits. Take something else forgeworld whether it's a pair of fire raptors or rapier weapon stands or more sicarans etc. Oblits just aren't good for their points. Even take autocannon havocs or multiple small melta bike squads

If FW is on the table, why not a typhon? Str 10 AP2 ignores cover massive blast on a superheavy would surely give scat bikes, and a load of other stuff a bad time while reducing RP rolls for crons.

I agree with the others, PF/LC Biker lord to go with the spawn is way better than Typhus.
If you are going for a competitive list with minimum troops I'd drop the Plague Marine squads down to 5 each and bump those Nurgle spawn up to 5 as well, unless the points difference from switching Typhus out nets you a Spawn or 2.
That being said, your Init3 Champs are almost always swinging after whatever is hitting them. I'd recommend a Power Axe over the Sword, it's worked really well for me.

What if you also cut 1 of the 3 man oblits to add a unit of cultists for back field objectives?

I think you forgot to put Belakor in your list.

I actually had Belakor but got rid of him since I have no single unit that needs Telepathy buffs. Too many points and not the most helpful when I expect to be drowned by Psykers anyway.
Taking a Typhon would mean dropping one of the models that can put out more hits. While a Typhon does better against Scatbikes, it won't do anything more than one Wound at a time to a Wraithknight or Imperial Knight. If I can squeeze it in without getting rid of the other damage dealers, I'm not seeing it.
I'm going to try that Lord out and see how it looks. Crimson Slaughter would put him on par with some of the Deathstar beatstick Chapter Masters out there but without a way to combat Psyker buffs I don't think it will have a chance against a Librarius Conclave or Seer Council. I'll have to test it out and see if if the extra options are worth it. I have a sinking feeling that they won't be though... I've never had luck with a proper Bike Lord surviving.
Will have a rewrite and see how it looks.

350 - Typhon
170 - Lord, MoN, Bike, Sigil, Fist, Claw, Blight Grenades
190 - Sonic Dreadnought, Missile Launcher, Blastmaster, Warp Amp
155 - 5x Plague marines, 2x Plasma, Rhino
155 - 5x Plague marines, 2x Plasma, Rhino
108 - 3x Spawn, MoN
170 - Heldrake, Baleflamer
180 - Relic Sicaran, Lascannons, Dozer Blade
140 - 2x Obliterators
228 - 3x Obliterators, MoN
1848
It's a bit of a squeeze, but you could do it. I'd trade the sonic dread and miscellaneous upgrades for a typhon for sure, this way they then have to be very careful about positioning as a little bit of scatter and you're catching a few units in the blast. Yes, you trade off doing multiple wounds to wraithknights, but then, previously you were only going to be doing ~1 wound with that sonic dread anyway on average, so it's not a bad trade at all.
