Howdy all! I haven't had much free time or chances to play 40k much. Last game I had was shortly after the new CSM codex. it made me wonder what my stuff might be worth. My CSM army never really got Completed/uniform and I believe my painting skills to be questionable (my gallery can speak for me there, thankfully most is unpainted) and my lovely SOB army came to me with missing bits, with that in mind I can't really gauge what I have. Was curious if someone could offer up some help in the form of a informed appraisal, it so I'd appreciate it.

I don't want to post a list of stuff I have here just in case that might be considered out of place for this section. (As if I'm trying to work in a sales pitch where I'm not.) I'm asking mostly to satisfy my curiosity.

Have a look on eBay, refine your search results to include 'sold' and 'completed' listings' - this should give you an idea of what certain models are selling for second hand. Models with little or no paint I imagine are worth less, however be sure to mention that they can easily be cleaned up using Fairy Power Spray etc. Good luck!

I believe the way it works is that unless it is painted to a high quality paint on a model devalues it. The hiearchy for value in second hand model sales goes something like this.

High quality paintjob>NIB>NOS>Clipped off but never assembled>Good quality paintjob>Assembled/partially assembled but unpainted>Painted>Painted badly>Bad condition>"Rescue" condition.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Figure on getting 50% of the original purchase price. It's better than having something sitting around you don't love.
