Hi,
I'm doing rp for three months now, and I'll soon bee GM.
But there will be 5 players, maybe even 6.
It doesn't bother me, but does the game support so many players ? Even in other rp I never played with more than 3 others players.
What do you guys (and gurls) think ?
Thanks !

Dark Heresy can work fine with 5 players. I've only run with 5 people once before, but adding a 5th didn't substantially alter the basic game. It isn't like Dungeons and Dragons where all the combat difficulty ratings assume a 4 person group. You just have to make sure that whatever adventure you plan for your group can be completed by that group. You need to make sure you don't put obstacles in front of them that can only be solved with a very difficult Tech Use roll, if nobody has Tech Use on their sheet. If your party doesn't have any hard-core combat-capable characters, try not to make the adventure combat-heavy.
Basic GM stuff, really.

For most of our campaign we had 5 players. I wouldn't go above that many, but 5 worked fine.

I've been in a game with five players and one with two. Both worked well enough.

My current DH game has had as many as seven players plus the GM so, no, five is more than manageable.

For RP in general I like groups of 3-6 players, erring on the small side. The fiddlier the game is mechanically, the smaller I like my groups. DH is pretty fiddly. 5 will work, but it's definitely at the upper bound of what I'd play in or run with that system.

Really all depends on your comfort-level as a GM and the playstyle of your group. I have also found that using sites such as Obsidian Portal allows for a lot of side-RP between characters or PCs-and-GM when it doesn't involve the whole party, or is more inter-character interaction rather than dice-rolling and combat.

The game I am GMing has up to eight players at a time.
I find out of all the rpgs I've played, Dark Heresy actually lends itself well to splitting the party into smaller sub parties all collaborating on tracking down different aspects of the investigation.
You really need players that can compartmentalize their meta knowledge, as well as players patient enough to wait their turn (I'll bounce between the different parties in 30 min or so segments), it can be a really fun time.
