Decided to start another topic here on Dakka (I'm in the FB group, but I prefer over here for some reasons lol).

Out of curiosity, how does On the Lamb feels about third party models? I think some (if not all) of the dev are active here, so I don't want to offend anyone. The EFT models available so far looks really great! But I'm just curious what stance OtL have toward non EFT model for their game.

My though process is that some games use generic models and/or don't produce their own brand of models. So they are more like: we sell you the game, we don't care what models you play with.
Other compagnies are more 'proprietary' (for lack of better word) over the use of their model for their game. Often, those compagnies have their own brand of model available, and won't let you use other model with their game (I'm thinking GW).

Because I will have a couple EFT models for sure (all the slimes, I'm looking at you!!!) but I also wanted to paint some other brand of model and use them for the game (I might have found a great models for my Dragoon for example). So if I start posting image of some of the paint job I do on the models I use for EFT, would it be better if I stick only with EFT original models?

Of course, we'd prefer if you only bought our models ;p

But its perfectly fine to include other models in your pictures of gameplay or what not. At events, such as those run at Gencon or the like, we'd prefer players to use only EFT models, so we dont have to worry about any photographs confusing customers/upsetting other companies.

What you do in your own games or own photos is all up to you!

Roger that. Make sense that you only play EFT in event. I will keep that in mind for when I will start to post picture here.

Anyway, the first mini I will paint is the Dwarf Warrior lol. Oh and also the board too! One day maybe, I will have enough model to make a Dwarf vs Slime battle muahahahahah!

edit: also, extra non related question. I have receive a tracking number for my order from OTL, but I doesn't display as dispatched yet (only shows that the pre-shipping information was receive). Is that normal? Thanks!

It means that for whatever reason USPS hasn't scanned the label, which sometimes means that it's lost or that USPS is just terrible in general.

It can 2-3 weeks for shipping up to Canada, if it hasn't arrived by then shoot us an email and we'll reship.

I find generally that second one. I've all too often seen "Label Created" for 3-4 days and then suddenly it's got 5-6 updates all on the same day and is "Out For Delivery".

Kk. I wasnt expecting it right now anyway (been only a week) but I was curious about the lack of update hehe
