Blood Angel Terminator with Lightning Claws

I'm currently putting together a Blood Drinkers Successor Chapter called the Angels Vitae. This is their whole story:
Spoiler:
Basically, their Sanguinary High Priest had a vision (supposedly from Sanguinius) telling them to drink small amounts of blood over time, rather than draining entire human bodies on the eve of battle. He started preaching this, and the members of the Chapter who do this find that the Rage is more easily controlled, and they don't have to deal with the guilt of murdering innocent mortals(the Blood Drinkers are one of the rare Chapters that actually feel guilty when they commit murder). However, when the Chapter's Master of Sanctity pondered upon this revalation, he comes to believe that this will simply open the door for Chaos corruption. As he had been warned by the Reclusiarchs before him, the Blood Drinkers' Rite of Holos allowed for the Greater Daemon Kairos allowed for Kairos to implant visions into the minds of a select few who succumb to the Black Rage. High Chaplain Asmodeus proclaimed to all of the Chapter that any who partook of this practice would be damned in the eyes of the Emperor. However, the Sanguinary Priests continued to preach this practice, and more than half of the Chapter continues to drinker human blood regularly. In desperation, Asmodeus declares that any who drink a mortal's blood at any time but the even of battle would find himself before the headsman's axe. However, hundreds of Battle Brothers continue the practice, and the Chaplains of the Chapter find themselves unable to carry out the orders they had been given. As the resistors banded together, led by Sanguinary Priests, the attempts of the Chaplains to execute those who openly defied them escalated until brief scuffles and skirmishes mushroomed into flashpoint conflicts that led to hundreds of Astartes' deaths. The Chapter Master being killed in the conflict, Sanguinary High Priest Uriel stepped forward and took command of those Space Marines that followed him. He reorganized them into a force comprising 7 Companies with Phalanxes (equivalent of a platoon) composed of 3 Squads with 8 Marines within them. He sent these Companies hunting, and they exterminated the Chaplains of the Chapter with extreme prejudice. When the fighting was over, less than 300 Marines remained of the 1200 that had originally comprised the Chapter. The Chapter fleet was devastated, though the Chapter's stock of Cobra-Class Destroyers seemed to be, if anything, higher than before. This proved to work against the Angels Vitae, however, as their excessive use of these formidable Torpedo Boats angered an Inquisitor who believed that said craft defied the Codex Astartes. The Inquisitor investigated the fleet working alongside his forces, and found a complete lacking of Chaplains and Marines openly drinking goblets filled with human blood. This, along with previous offences against the Adeptus Mechanicus, led to the Chapter being declared Excommunicate Traitoris

That's pretty much everything up to the point that they go Renegade. I really just need some feedback on this, how well does it fit into the setting? Most of all, I need help figuring out a better way for the Inquisition to discover how deviant they are.

To quote a fictional character... "Let's make this fun!"

There was a story in the SM omnibus where a single kroot killed 2-3 marines then ate their gene seed and became a Kroot-startes.

We must all join the Kroot-startes...

Well first off, you could do with a little editing. It is a very big, thick chunk of text and it kinda jumps around. I'd start by reorganizing it and breaking it up into separate sections, for readability.

That said, some questions are coming up:

" However, when the Chapter's Master of Sanctity pondered upon this revalation, he comes to believe that this will simply open the door for Chaos corruption. As he had been warned by the Reclusiarchs before him, the Blood Drinkers' Rite of Holos allowed for the Greater Daemon Kairos allowed for Kairos to implant visions into the minds of a select few who succumb to the Black Rage"

So...why? And why did he not instantly act on the knowledge since he was specifically warned about it?

"However, the Sanguinary Priests continued to preach this practice, and more than half of the Chapter continues to drinker human blood regularly"

Why? When you have clear evidence that it is corrupting them.

"In desperation, Asmodeus declares that any who drink a mortal's blood at any time but the even of battle would find himself before the headsman's axe"

And where is the Chapter Master during any of this and what follows? Is he just gone? Is he complicit in the blood-drinking? If he just a deadbeat boss who doesn't want to see what his employees are up to?

"angered an Inquisitor who believed that said craft defied the Codex Astartes"

Why would an Inquisitor care about the Codex Astartes? They work regularly with larger deviants from it, i.e. Space Wolves and have decided not to excommunicate them. Plus, you have Marine chapters using unusual gear (Baal engines, Thunderwolves, etc) and none of those are codex-compliant either. That's hardly grounds for excommunication even if the Inquisitor had a mind to do so.

Eye of Terror

As a next step, I would describe a big bad event that symbolizes their break from the Imperial creed.

Stage an attack on an Imperial world to seize the machinery necessary to process gene seed and create new warriors.

Have them go on a self-imposed crusade that goes horribly wrong and leads to the destruction of an entire world.

Have them pursued by another chapter and seek support from the World Eaters or something.
