So, I've started out with an Astra Militarum army recently. After backtracking over my paint scheme, as I'm a slow painter and the last one was painfully time consuming, I'm making progress. Never before had I realised how tedious batch painting is, but I'm only running 30 or so infantry models thankfully. I'm looking forward to doing the tanks.

Here's the first miniature that's somewhat close to getting finished. Firstly just with base colours, secondly with fatigues highlights and armour wash, still in need of tidying up and armour highlights.

It looks really good, the armor is a very nice color.

Thanks! that'll be Zandri Dust. I've been struggling getting a decent, smooth coverage over a black primer. In hindsight I really should have used a white primer but too late now.

Here's the scheme:

Fatigues: Rhinox Hide, Gorthor BRown, Baneblade Brown, Nuln Oil.
Armour: Zandri Dust, Agrax Earthshade, Karak Stone.

Very, very slow progress as university has kept getting in the way of hobby stuff. I've been quite tempted to switch to Steel Legion just because I reckon they'd be alot quicker to paint...

I'm bored and can't sleep, so here's some pictures! Although my camera sucks and the lighting is not very forgiving.

As you can see, I've almost finished the sergeant (after what, 4 months?) and am seriously debating changing scheme. Getting the Zandri Dust to look clean is so bloody fiddly.



Here's a psyker I did as a little break, and an Iron Hand I did ages ago.
