We've tried it and it worked very well. We didn't use their house rules for shooting and did not raise the price of missile troops, because it seemed unnecessary. Still worked great. This and PPC seem like the systems that are th furthest ahead at the moment.

Thank you

If you have any feedback or battle reports please send them to the email in the comp pack. We are up over 500 reports now and that helps us keep the points as grounded as possible.

Our own campaign starts tomorrow so we should have some youtube reports with it coming out soon.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about comp/points and looking at the various efforts the community has come up with, and Azyr is definitely my favorite so far (although I think the changes to shooting are a pit too dramatic, and I've given up on the sloppy summoning mechanic ever feeling balanced).

Nothing is perfect, but whenever I notice something interesting while crunching my own numbers and check Azyr points, they're usually "close enough."

This started off as a strong contender at my flgs, but was binned by about 2-3 weeks due to issues with game balance. That said, I feel it is pretty good for what it is; the into even says the system is supposed to be approximate. Personally I wouldn't use it but I do recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple & ready-to-go comp system (and hey, its waaaay better than nothing!).

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

It's pretty decent, I tried it many times, although that was several revisions ago. Before everyone at my FLGS just stopped playing AoS altogether, this was being used to try to make AoS more pick-up game friendly.

It's not going to make AoS into the game you want if you don't like it in the first place, but it works well for what it is.
