I was just hunting for a Wong boxset and the webstores I like don't have it in stock and the Ebay sellers are insanely expensive. Is there a way to find out whats released, what was special edition and what Wyrd just sold at gen con and put into the vault with the Disney films?

Wyrd just updated their Upcoming Releases page yesterday. Looks like Wong comes out in October. The Warstore's pre-order page says October 23.

I think the only special edition stuff they sold for Gencon this year was The Dark Carnival (Colette crew alt sculpts) and Miss Anne Thrope (Wastrel alt sculpt, freebie for spending more than $100). Everything else should be getting a release date eventually.

Almost all of the wave 2 stuff will be out by Christmas. Emissaries will be making an appearance at Black Friday if Wyrd keeps to their schedule.

That would be a nice surprise if I could grab the Mysterious and Lucky Emmisaries on Black Friday.

I'd be happy to put my hands on one (better more) translucent sets they made for GenCon few years ago.
But I think this is impossible (((.

Translucent sets make appearances on Black Friday, though typically in low volumes.

It's not on-line, or at least not on the Wyrd site.

Wyrd doesn't sell new releases on their own site for about a month after release to allow LGS and other retailers time to sell them exclusively.

Okay, did some digging around and wow, I very much preferred the old metal look, shame.

@BrookM: i just bought the new plastic Colette box from The War Store last Friday, on release day, and it shipped on Wednesday, so it has been out in the wild for a week...
if you like the old metals better, there are still plenty of them available online...
personally, i think the plastics look WAY better, with the improved Doves (now included in the Crew box, instead of a separate purchase), stabbier Mannequins, Cassandra with the sword on her shoulder (more attitude in that pose), and less crotch action on the Colette sculpt...

The old one can be found still, not easily but there are some out there, difficulty will be in finding Cassandra and Angelica in metal rther than Colette herself sadly enough

The new plastic lacks a lot of the character the old one had...
But, that's my opinion...

@BrookM: i'm the same with some of the old metals, like Rasputina and Perdita...
so much character in those two original sculpts...

i don't know how much of a pain it is for you guys to find old stock in Europe, but here in the US The War Store, Chaos Orc, and Miniature Market look to still have all the metal Colette minis, including Cassandra, at a nice discount...
that might make the shipping hurt a little less...
i haven't seen anyone stocking the metal Angelica...

The coryphee are like gold dust. A friend of mine grabbed all the metals, and the coryphee alone cost him more than everything else combined.

That I didn't know, was under the impression they were not that rare, might ofcourse also be due to the local store still having some on the shelf I guess.

I suppose it depends on the area you're in.

Same plastic master. The old Wong box is just Wong. The new Wong box is the same plastic Wong, with the Lovely Assistant, Mancha Roja and 3 Lightning Bugs.

I want the Viktoria Hired Swords box but no joy at all in the UK.

It's available on Wyrd's site in fairness for $45 so may take the plunge, need to check the exchange rate etc.

The Viktorias are a very popular crew, so they are out of stock a lot. Not sure why Wyrd doesn't just order a few more production runs of them than other crews to keep them in stock, but there's obviously a financial reason.

Check out Goblin Gaming in the UK. I've ordered several things from them recently, all arrived VERY quickly, including the Vik crew just a couple of weeks ago. Their website says they have one in stock right now.

You'll obviously find different areas will have different stocks simply because some crews won't be so popular in some areas. Personally, I easily found a pack of metal Stitched Together, but I'm told those are exceedingly rare.

Cheers for the tip, checked them out and they only had it is available to order but not in stock.

I completely forgot to check Amazon and ended up getting one from there for £30.00 which was what I'd have paid if I'd ordered direct from Wyrd less the $20 shipping so pretty pleased with it.

Rulebook on the way as well so I'm all set

I think this is an okay place to ask, so here it goes: how long does it take from the preview to models in store? I want that carrion emissary.

Emmisarys are rumoured to be at gencon as early release, with general releases through the year afterwards. But we don't know for sure. Wyrds release schedule is fairly unpredictable.
