Greetings. Stumbled upon some Eldar Corsairs while surfing the webs.
Got interested and I was wondering where I could find more fluff about
them? Are they mentioned anywhere in the Craftworld Codex?

Imperial Armor 11 (Doom of Mymerea) has the most about them, but rumor has it they may be getting a new book/article/reprint soon.

Some of the Eldar and Dark Eldar sourcebooks mention them, but rarely give you much detail.

They are also mentioned in the rogue trader RPG books.

Not that most players will ever make a difference between eldar sub factions. All of them have the tendency to get in the way of profit or shoot holes in your ship when you try to excavate some valuable artefacts and you can't really trust them as mercenaries. The only positive thing about them is that their gear and their dead bodies are worth a lot to the select few.

Has a lot of sources. The IA book is not that bad, the fluff is ok and the list is not bad at all, it used to be the cheesy eldar list but it now struggles to compete with the new craft-world codex.

1d4 chan gives a good impression of the list

Might want to wait and see if these rumours come to pass:

Honestly the Cosairs werent that bad rules wise. All they really had was Jetbike spam, and that was during the Biker Wars (what i call a good chunk of 6th ed) other than Jetbikes they didnt have much. Still a fun list though. If you want fluff head to the Lexicanum, lots of info usually on there.

Corsairs are my primary army, this possible update is making me almost salivate in anticipation...

In regards to stats, jet pack warwalker troops, jetbikes with an extra close combat weapon, all the forgeworld tanks, guardians with a mashup of weapon options from the storm and guardian lists and optional JETPACKS as well as their primary sidearm being the lasblaster from swooping hawks, the current prince gives 3 units deep strike and has a once per game artillery style strike.

Those were the highlights, in my opinion.

I modelled my corsairs with shuriken catapults and 1 in 5 with a missile launcher which is cool on a JSJ body i think.

But pleeeease FW, don't make it so they can't take shuriken catapults in the new book. Please keep wasps as troops too. Even if they can never be obsec, I'm ok with that - i need my fast attack for hornets and a nightwing!

We can always hope for extra fast attack slots ala the dark eldar codex. Actually, that detachment wouldn't be that bad for the corsairs...

I like the idea of being able to take a Dark Eldar-y HQ with wings. Means I might actually have a use for this guy:

Also, it would be strange for them to disallow shuriken catapults to our troops. I'm hoping they give us the same lasblaster as the swooping hawks though. I can deal with 3 shots each at 24" away...

Yeah, the updated lasblasters would synergise better with ML and shuriken cannons. Plus if they get acces to DE heavy weapons they'd probbly synergise better with those too. But FW are usually better at not negating earlier incarnations of things, a la the shadow spectres. Plus they must know that FW stuff isn't bought by mainstream players so wouldn't want to alienate their smaller customer base. That's what I'm hoping anyway. I'd hate to have to go back and snip off all those shuriken catapults to replace them with their VERY flimsy lasblasters. I've just recently rebased all of my corsairs and that was an absolute nightmare!

Haven't based mine yet, stopped painting and working on them when the Harlequins codex dropped. May end up giving me corsairs some pinstripes since I started airbrushing recently.

Really can't wait to run an eldar united army where I have the wraith host, all of my harlis and corsairs, some dark eldar allies (mostly witch cult) and an aspect warrior host of scorpions and spectres. So much win to see that on the table!

I've been slowly building towards a pure corsairs army. At the moment, just with an autarch on a bike for the reserves stuff and two min jet bike units as a second detachment.

I'm really hoping for the new prince to have the reserves manipulation and everything else be damned. I want to concentrate on a pure firepower list with no psychic shenanigans whatsoever - just lots of guns, deep strikers and outflankers.

If you're looking for some good Corsairs fluff, try picking up Path of the Outcast. A significant chunk of the book is spent giving you some neat insights into how Corsairs operate.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.
