I would say stick with Dark Angels, however if you look at my sig you can tell I might be a bit biased. That being said Ravenwing are amazing on their own in friendly games, if you want to run all ravenwing for tourneys i would suggest searching for the list that won the NOVA open this year, Aaron Aleong's Thunderdome. I'm not saying you can't win tourneys with pure Ravenwing but them thunderwolves though.... I have had a ton of fun running an all Ravenwing deathstar with just Sammael, BlackKnight command squad, Chaplain on bike and Librarian on bike. We had to do our own little house ruling for the ravenwing strike force hq slots, but the writing is on the wall for that one.
