So, us Aussies are "privledged" enough to buy skarbrand at 220 which is more than an imperial knight and twice the old bloodthirster. So has he been upgraded to a GMC or is he just really overpriced, and how big is he to warrant such a price?

He literally shares a sprue with the current Bloodthirster, and is a two sprue model, so not that big.

Then why is it that he's 225 when the BT with changeable weapons etc is 160??

I don't have a clue in the slightest. He's 'only' £10 more here.

Eventually it'll be cheaper to just fly to UK and bulk buy for us Kiwis and Aussies.

When it comes down to it though, Aussies, Kiwis and Canucks get gouged at the tills.

So hang on, just looked at one of the spruces, if it contains an extra axe and the whips, does that mean you can build a BT from him too, or that his head can be swapped out for a normal BT head?

I think it makes more sense when you compare it to the AoS releases: $50 for a character model, $98 for a squad of 5. Its a giant monster, you'd expect it to cost proportionately more than a single character or a squad of 5 men, no? There is a kind of logic in place here.

Having said that, i've gone from laughter to just awe. $225 for a bloodthirster, that is just epic.

Wel I'm glad someone's happy with "skarbrand the bearded one" price tag, it's just that I could almost afford the forge world an'ggrath model, I could chuck on the two handed BT axe in the whip hand and tear up the wings for a amazing skarbrand.

I just don't get why it's £10 more in other countries which is ~15aud and 60aud more for us. Especially when he's smaller than the imperial knights and apart from the spiky bum and over-muscular wings(which would've been cooler as stumps) he's got no detail behind him.

Not sure i'd say i'm happy with the price tag, so much as i'm awed at the price. I used to laugh at gw pricing, but now its just silent awe. $225 for a bloodthirster. Its not quite a chapter of marines for the price of a car, but its close in its own way.

$225 for a single decent miniature? This is great news! Not only will the hobbyist be impressed by how boutique and exclusive new GW products are but they will appreciate the value of their new investment into such a powerful model!

I'm sure they'll be lining up as we speak. Games workshop will have had a really good year. Of course, if your measure of 'good' is the current financial year's numbers, you may not agree.

Yeah very pricey, his new rules are in the current white dwarf. Bright side is, hes not that good. Hes not a FMC, and giving rage + hatred to everyone, friend and foe is not really that amazing.... Think Ill stick with the normal Bloodthirster.

Very pricey indeed, and they're not new, they're identical to previous incarnation what's worse is that he still hasn't got fleet and instead of the named BT gaining EW the 2W skull taker gets it
