Anyone tried it or have a scale shot with a Vengence turret next to a Russ?

I'm thinking it would make for a neat command tank.

I would look into doing a backwards Leman Russ body conversion, otherwise I think it would all be a bit too front heavy...

Or maybe a Chimera hull?

It would help make the thing less top heavy.

True! Btw I have no idea of the size comparison between that turret and the IG *ahem* AM tanks, I've never seen one in person. Still, just had a quick look at the Wyvern and the Hydra and I reckon it might be about the same size as those turrets. You could be on to something KK!

Another thought is whether there's any way to attach treads to the bunkers. I can't find sprue pics anywhere but If there is a way it might help with the balance and discondanent design.

I really like the Vengence turrets but they just don't fit with the rest of the IG line (nor do the other Wall o'Dead Cadians), so maybe putting one on treads might work.

I don't have a Leman Russ handy, so there it is on a Chimera. The base is one piece so I think adding tracks would be a lot of work.

I'd almost say the the Vengence cannon would look better on a Basilisk-type platform as opposed to a Russ, purely personal preference there though.

If you use just the gunts and not the whole turret assembly and use either the Leman Russ turret or slap together a KV 2 style box turret, the weapons themselves are scaled just fine for use on the Russ tank.

It kind of looks like a KV-1 on the Chimera and a SU-76 on the Hydra chassis.

The turret is as tall as the Leman Russ.

The leman russ turret with the gattling gun type vengeance cannon would look awesome!

Size-wise, this seems quite reasonable, after some chopping of the gun mounting. To me, it's far too big to use as a turret on either a Russ or Chimera, unless you pretty much only keep the gun barrel. Hmm, a couple of them might look quite good on a Baneblade hull though...

Thanks for the images. Yeah that's just not gonna work, maybe as an alternate basilisk but not as a russ.

I like the idea of doing a big box turret though.

Looks like a Punisher and some vengence batteries go on my Christmas list.
