Hey all may be a stupid question but ive only had a few games in 7th and the formations just make it confusing imo

So I was playing agaisnt a necron player who ran reclamation legion with canoptek harvest .. surprise surprise .. anyway his 2 ghost arcs went over terrain and apparently have move through cover.

Where in the necron codex for that formation does it say that the warriors can a)take a ghost arc as part of the formation and b)if they are not part of the reclamation legion how does that formation give them move through cover if they aren't part of the formation

Sorry if this is completely stupid but im scratching my brain

Cheers in advance

Dedicated Transports are widely accepted to be part of the same Formation as the unit they are bought for. So the Warriors are part of Reclamation Legion, which gives Move Through Cover as a Command Benefit. So does their Dedicated Transport bought off their Datasheet.

Even if they didn't have move through cover from the RecLegion, would it have mattered if they went over terrain? (skimmers typically don't care about terrain... unless you mean he ended his movement phase with them in terrain, in which case, yeah, then there would be issues).

A DT is really just an upgrade for the unit. So it inherits the same formation benefits as the formations do. I do have some sympathy for you, but I abuse the ghost arc MTC rule as much as I can

It does break a bit when you use your Judicator Bn with night scythes. The rules state that you cna pick one en unit in LoS from a stalker in the formation and all unis in that formation re roll to hit, wound and armour pen. So you can have twenty lychguard, two night scythes and three stalkers all rerolling H, W, AP against one enemy death star... and with the night scythes long rang and the unlimited LoS rule it's open to some abuse.
