Exactly what the title says. I see a lot of hate towards AoS and I don't get why.

One man, alone in a wasteland.
No, you're not the only one. Just one of a small subset of a small group. (table top gammers)
Well, you'd be the one man in my area. We don't even have the lone survivor. We do have lots of grocery and gun stores to loot for supplies though.

The game isn't very popular and doesn't appear to be picking up steam. (At least from where I stand. I could be wrong.)
There's a lot of criticism of the game and it alieanated many fantasy veterans at the same time. It's kind of behind the 8-ball from the get go.

But in some areas with certain groups I'm sure it's doing fine. You just have to be lucky enough to be near one of those rare groups.

A lot of people are enjoying it. The usual Warhammer forums have died somewhat due to the negativity and arguments. There are other places, like Facebook groups, where fans have been going online.

Table top gaming is pretty nerdy. By being on a forum you've demonstrated an above average interest in something nerdy. Thus you're a nerd as well. The thing I like about nerds is that we can get together and be nerds together free from the foolish condensation of the outside world. Calling someone a neck beard is the kettle calling the pot black.
We can argue over rules, which game is better and whatnot. But in the end we're all nerds and we should love that.

Basically, get a thicker skin.

No you aren't the only one. Plenty of people like AOS. They're just outnumbered by those who don't like it.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Obviously you aren't the only person in the world who like AoS.

This topic isn't really worth pursuing. Please check the AoS for Optimists thread.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
