I... actually don't know. Help?

I'm doing a scratchbuild for an Ork plane, in which half the main body is plastic and the other half is metal. How do I put them together? The metal is too heavy for normal super glue.

Pin the parts together to hold things in place and also allow the glue time to set.
Use a pin drill, and something appropriate like paperclips snipped to length as pins.

Why?
You could try gluing the metal parts to a plastic or card tab, allowing it to set, then gluing the plastic component to the plastic/card tab. This will hold it in place wile the superglue sets between the metal and plastic.

The strongest answer is pinning. :(

Well, the metal is too thin for pins :(

If it's an Ork plane I don't think it would look too out of place if you used a very thin chain to wrap around the different parts to keep them together. You can usually find very thin chains at jewlery stores.

As silly as it sounds, can you build a Lego or similar system scaffold to hold the heavier piece in place and together? Add in some rubber bands to keep pressure on the joint while the glue sets.

Gorilla glue super glue for me. I've been very happy building 3rd Edition metal Tyranids with it lately. Big headed Zoanthropes without pins on a very small point of contact and other such models.

I would try gel superglue... I know Loctite has one readily available in swedish stores. It has a real strong bond and will bridge small gaps for optimum adhesion.
