Hey, I'm trying to come up with a good Space wolf, Lib. Conclave, Dark Angel death star list which will do well at Malestrom.
Having gone through some of the top lists ( Aaron Aielong, Steve Sisk etc) I still can't figure out how they do so well in mixed Male/ Eternal war missions?

Do you have links for those lists? I don't have them memorized off the top of my head. I might be able to give a reasonable explanation for you.

They do well in Maelstrom because you can break a piece of the deathstar off, say a 2+ rerollable jink save dark angel guy, who can then boost on the objective.

Aftermath can be calculated.

Use Ravenwing Land Speeders as your scoring units for Maelstrom objectives. They are fast, dirt-cheap and pretty darn survivable with 4+ re-rollable jink saves.

Yes. And the fireball build can smash up xenos real bad for less than a naked combat squad of tacs.

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

Cheers. But still it seems like an easy army to counter, as soon as you spilt up the death star it's no where near as durable. Actually I really like Tasty taste 's no mercy list, a lot more 'balance' to it.

TastyTaste's list is much, much different from Aaron and Steve's list. He is in essence running a mini-star and a more balanced list. However, his list will have trouble against armies that can ignore cover (i.e. Tau) as well as multiple Imperial Knights. Steve/Aaron's lists are intentionally extremely unbalanced lists designed to overwhelm most opponents. However, TastyTaste's list isn't what you can call a "Thunderdome" list.
