Destiny's pretty good, all things considered.

Destiny is the hot game right now. I was done with their crap on the first DLC, haven't touched it since, but they say it's better. Buying it for the first time, the Taken King is a good deal though.

Alien Isolation has been a lot of fun, despite it kicking my backside. Dying Light is good for a while but gets boring once you level up. More of a two week rental than a purchase but zombie killing with friends does make it stretch out. And despite its age, Titanfall is still two tons of fun. DLC is free, lobbies are prompt, 3k players at any given time but their servers don't put you in empty lobbies or have slow join times. Not sure how they do it, but it still runs smooth.

Upcoming games are of course Halo, Fallout 4 and Rainbow 6 Seige. I personally like the new Call of Duty from my time with the Beta, but I doubt it will beat out Halo if you prefer that sort of game. And I don't think it's as good as Titanfall.

Other than that, just make sure to get the free games right now. Tomb Raider and Walking Dead are both strong titles.

Destiny was the biggest waste of my money for a while... so freaking boring.

If Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is still free, that's worth a download. Arkham Knight and Shadows of Mordor are brilliant if you want a mix of combat and stealth, and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag remains great. Halo 4 obviously.

Dark Souls and Witcher 3 are both amazing RPGs.

Wait for Backwards compatibility news.

Meh. Didn't do anything for me. I like a challenge as much as the next guy but a game where you die every 5-10mins gets old real fast. Witcher 3 doesn't do anything for me either.

I was tempted by Destiny but again, it's one of those MMO's where you can play solid for 3months and then get fed up with it and never touch it again.

I have Alien Isolation on PC as well as Dying Light and Shadows of Mordor.

I got fed up after their announcement for "House of Wolves" being the last of the Season pass DLC.

It's EA. They do fairly good with their multiplayer, despite what people say.

From personal experience, I would recommend the following titles:
Plants versus Zombies: Garden Warfare. It's silly, it's fun, and it's a great way to kick back and relax.
Destiny: The Taken King Edition(the one that includes Taken King, the base game, and ALL of the previous DLCs)
Batman: Arkham Knight.
Ryse: Son of Rome(if you can find a disc copy for cheap)
Watch_Dogs(same as Ryse)
Titanfall(same)
Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition(important distinction; you want the one with all the DLCs. It's basically the same price as a used copy of the game when it first came out)

I can't recommend Battlefield 4, because I don't know if you have friends that play it. Having friends amplifies the enjoyment factor significantly.

As far as games I'm personally keeping an eye on?
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is basically the top of my list. I recently got to have a chat with a developer working on the title about it and got all my fears pretty much shut down.

I have Battlefield 4 but have really only played it single player since I have Destiny taking up the most time on the system. I got it on sale a bit back so I never had that much in it to begin with.

The Witcher 3, Titanfall, and Battlefield 4 (not the single player!)

The Rare Replay Collection looks pretty amazing if you like old school games, including but not limited to: Perfect Dark, Battle Toads, Banjo Kazooie series.

As a fan of Halo, and a big fan of Diablo (its not really a MMO in the same sense as the PC WoW/Everquest equivalents, but Diablo is a good fit) I should have realised I'd like Destiny. It took a couple of weeks to get its hooks into me, but I'm pretty lost to it now.

Diablo is a lot of fun, Alien Isolation is amazing, I also like a few titles which are generally looked down by some, but if you find you like them they'll steal a lot of your time, Minecraft, Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, Disney Infinity.

Also upgrade to Gold asap (if not already) as some of the free games of late have been pretty good.



edit - oh going by the beta, Battlefront is going to be stunning, with the Force Awaken tie ins thanks to Jakku, I think its going to be my most played online pvp game, well depending on how well I get into Destiny pvp once I get my light level up into the 290's and beyond.. at the moment I tend to die a lot.

MDS, I might need to play Destiny with you.

I always need meatshields for PvP.

I cannot wait for Battlefront...every time I sit down to play something, I keep thinking "I wish I was back in the Battlefront Beta".
