So here is the background: I've played 40k for 10+ years and I generally know what I'm doing. In tournaments I tend to finish near the top. But in all those years, there is only one army I have consistently been unable to beat: Deamons.
I've got a sizable necron force, and a huge dark angels force. No matter what I do, the best I can hope for against Deamons is a tie, and that won't really help in a tournament. I've seen multiple different demon lists, khorne dogs, screamer-star, plague drones, pink horror summoning spam, flying circus. No matter what Deamons they are, I can't kill them. So I'm desperate and I need your help. How do you kill Deamons?

Flying circus gets beaten by MSU ObSec and a bunch of skyfire, preferably in an army with lots of psychic dice to throw around. A DA lions blade should do the trick combined with an anti air auxilary (do DA get the crappy anti flier tanks?). Ironically, grav is actually decent against princes since simply firing into the air with that many shots wounding on 3's (everyone takes armour, it's virtually mandatory) with a re-roll is pretty good, especially with prescience involved. Also ensuring they go 1st is win so they can't simply land and contest objectives on the final turn. Cron air should be able to remove most of them before dumping ObSec immortals into reserve to walk onto objectives.

Khorne dogs have no real way to deal with walkers or fliers without soul grinders, so make them a priority target. Stalkers or Ironclads should hold them up for ages and Cron air should counter them fairly well too. Hammernators in a raider should be able to wreck face, especially if you've got a priest with them through BB shenanigans. Khorne dogs can also struggle against obsec pods, depening on build, so that's always amusing.

Screamerstar folds to barrage weapons since the grimoure is usually on a herald or a strong alpha strike (though any decent player will simply reserve the council). Thunderfires will hit a council hard, usually taking out the gimoure bearer in 1 to 2 rounds. A Vindicare is also super annoying because d3 wounds against a 5++ and a 4+ LOS means you're in trouble, as does a shieldbreaker if they've been powered up otherwise. Going first is always handy, if for no other reason than forcing the council into reserve, so picking up coteaz for the re-rolls is handy.

Can't help with drone bus, though I'm sure someone else can help you out there.

Recursive summon lists are another that's weak to apha strikes, so bring your pods with killy things and rejoice since horrors are t3 with a 5++. Bring ignores cover since they'll be camping ruins or an ADL for a 2+ re-roll as they'll gtg the instant you look at them funny. Sternguard and thunderfires work well, as do flamers of all types though legion are expensive and too late.

What, you don't like rolling dice to see how many dice you roll? Why are you such an anti-dice bigot?
