I don't play 40K anymore. I might start playing if people start again in my area but for now, I just collect and model. Before the Tau rumours came out my wife bought me a Riptide because I liked how it looked in white. Now we know the Tau are getting a new codex and got some really nice minis. I have seen this Kayoun book, so now I am interesting it it. I bought the Tyranid/Blood Angel/Necron books (sorry keep forgetting the names of those 2 books) and really enjoyed reading them. After reading you don't need the new Tau codex and not having the old Tau codex I am not sure if Kayoun will be any good for me.

As I said, I don't play, like collecting and reading the fluff. I am hoping this Kayoun book has good stories, but not sure if it does or not.

My thinking is get the Kayoun book and when and if I do start playing 40K game and if I choose Tau (I have Tyranids and Dark Angels) since I like the new Tau minis, I will most likely get the iPad interactive version of the Tau codex. I am just wondering if this is the way to go or not. Am I missing out by just buying the Kayoun book? Will I miss out if I just buy the new Tau codex only? Since I don't really know what this Kayoun book entails, I thought I would ask here and see what people know and their opinions on.

I never bought the Ork/Space Wolves books so I think I missed out on the series but really liked the Nid ones, so that is why I am thinking of getting Kayoun so I don't miss out this time. I just want to make sure if I go this way, I am not missing out or maybe I should go a different way.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I lucked out and have both tau and white scars, and the tau 6th end book, so this will be a decent value for me. Its like two army updates in one for me.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!
