Subject: Spare Pan O antennae?

Bit of a long shot, but I managed to throw away the antennae for the Pan O half of O:I [I think I threw them away, don't remember seeing them at all but can't think why they wouldn't be in the box]. Tried CB's missing parts email and they didn't want to know. So, I was wondering if anyone had some spare that they might want to send me? Obviously I would cover shipping costs. Feel a bit silly asking really but it's driving me a little crazy not having those parts!

You, like many, many others, probably mistook them for flash or sprue. Good news though, when you get other Pan-O minis that only need 1 antenna, like a nisse or akalis, you'll end up with a spare, since they come 2 to a sprue. Eventually, you'll end up with enough for the Ice storm minis-- 6 IIRC.

How long has it been? I've used that quite a lot (I have terrible luck with missing parts), and it generally takes about a week for them to even respond.

I've used it twice (once years ago before their current system) and once since and still never got an email back from them. The goods turned up (both times took about a week - which is pretty standard for OS sourced airmail for us) but no emails. As for spares, ask around (someone in the UK perhaps). Somewhere, another panO player hasn't used them at all, and probably has them. I don't use them either - but I don't care if I lose them, so I don't look for them when they do go missing.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I did exactly the same thing with the Uberfallkommando box ("she has no hands!" - er, yes they were attached to a weapon.. ), didn't get a reply but a package turned up in the post.
I would give it a couple of weeks and chase with another email.

Don't get me started on antennas!
I screwed up an auxbot when I snapped off the 2 thick antennas from the part that goes in its back and binned it thinking it was sprue. Was lucky to dig the piece out of my bin at my hobby desk.

What I have done for missing antennae is drill and use pinning wire. If you any the more flattened look, just use a hammer or vise to flatten a section of the wife before install (don't forget to leave the end round for installation). This way is convenient and more secure than the standard antennae.
