Tryna decide how I wanna go about doing this. Its 1250 points, and I've been looking at some lists and it seems to be primarily firewarriors suits and then 1-2 hammerheads. I'm not sure what they're plasma guns ap is but this is but I'm either thinking use 2x10vangaurd 3 plasma(in warlord only) omni, 2 onagers with neutron lazer, 2 dagoons, and 2 canoptec harvests, which leaves me with about 100 left over points. Instead of harvests I can take the 10 vangaurd 3 plasma omnispex with draigo, and then 5 termies and 2 dreadnights with flamers and hammer and personal teleporter

Or I could toss in some DE and Eldar and go with a seercouncils 2 venoms with 5 warriors an Archon and some reavers, although reavers may come into trouble vs the marker lights

sshhhhhh...calm yourself you heretic scum. Dont bring any xenos crap...ever. It is an insult upon the God-Emperor himself to do so. I would go with the Grey Knight option, but dont drop the dragoons.

Grey knights are a pretty good counter to Tau. They get in their face too quickly. Their shunt move with flamers destroy Tau infantry. Our monstrous creatures are fast enough to keep up and get in combat with theirs, and force beats them in one turn.

Pure shunt Gk is a nearly direct counter to Tau.

The two local Tau power gamers stopped playing my gk

That's what I was thinking the ap 3 flamers are my favorite

A mix of flamers and psycannons get the most mileage with good target priority. Crisis suit heavy armies will die to storm bolter mass fire. And a crisis suit/stealth suit heavy army is more expensive and less durable than Gk and will die.

Keep your mobility up and target priority well thought out. Remember that killing market lights is one of the best ways to slow down that Tau gun line.

I'd consider Purifiers in Drop Pods using cleansing flame after combat squadding. Ouch!

That would be one of the best tactics in this case..............If GK could use drop pods.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think GK have access to drop pods.

Everyone in the Imperium of Man has access to drop pods. you just have to ally some non-dedicated fast attack drop pods from any of the space marine codexs.

The Flesh Tearer Taxi Service is the easiest option.

5 Rangers 65 pts
2 dagoons 90 pts

GK: 950
Librarian Lvl 3 deamon hammer 140pts
Termies 1 deamon hammer 1 qsycannon 195 pts
Dreadknight deamon hammer incinerator personal teleporter x2 370 pts
Draigo 245 pts

So turn 1 gonna use driago to gate the vangaurd into range jump up the dreadnights and flame some warriors hopefully deepstrike the termies and maybe the librarian rolls invisibility lol

Just deep strike some GK into close range of the Tau, they're kinda screwed if you do that XD
