So "rumors" are that Tyranids may be next on the codex update, even though I think we can both agree Chaos SM needs it more, anyway with all the new big Super Heavies/Gargantuans everyone is getting I went back to the fluff to see if there were any clues as to what the Nids may receive in the next edition. What I have gleaned are two possible, realistically one, models that are referenced in quite a few books, editions, and lore background. Applicant number one come on down *que price is right theme music*, entry number one the Norn Queen. Said to be the heart of a Hive fleet Tendril it's spawns pretty much anything and everything the Nids bring to play when they make planet fall and is responsible to create new broods/waves that have adapted to the fighting on the surface. While it is not clear if they are bound to the Hive ships or is able to head down to the surface, it changes between editions and lore clash, it is enormous believed to be akin to a Reaver Titan, possibly Warlord, in size. As I said before this is the least likely choice due to it supposed size and its role unless GW feels generous enough to give us a creature to spawn Carnifexes because GW would do that *DO YOU FEEL THE SARCASM TOO??". Now on the second more plausible choice, The Dominatrix, no not that kind don't get too excited, now if you are not sure as to what a Dominatrix is that's ok this old Commissar will tell you, think of a Dimachaeron scary right? Now mix that with the intelligence of a Swarmlord, the Psychic potential of a LVL3, the OMNOM capacity of a Haruspex, and so much Synapse it's talking to gribblies that have yet to enter our galaxy, not really but damn it covers planets.

So those are the two possible gribblies I can think of that we may see unless GW tries to make a Hive Tryfexorant Prime...harpy....lord....eh what the hell throw in warrior in there, yeah that's sounds about like a name would GW would make a Hive Tryfexorant Prime Harpy Warriorlord....with blackjack and hookers....

It's possible they'll turn the Trygon into one, it was a Gargantuan Creature originally, though given GW's modus operandi of late, they'll probably come up with another big kit and an ever more absurd name and toss out a "Trygon+" sized model instead of just porting the Heirodule into plastic.

Transport bug

A 450 point T5 6W flying GC that has only melee attacks (but strength D!), with a carrying capacity of 20, but it doesn't count as open-topped.

Mmm I don't think so even in the lore he's just a normal Carnifex that they have a name and is hard as balls to kill if they promote anyone, and I use that term lightly, to LoW it would be the Swarmlord. And then they'd nerf him

See, I think GW will just take the Hive Tyrant and say, nah its a gargantuan creature, so no more flying, its a LoW, and we only really picture it as a melee monster, so no more ranged of any kind.

Trygon/Mawloc Prime will get its own model kit and be a Gargantuan Tunneling Creature.

Mawloc prime still has instant RFG if it doesnt kill, even though gargantuan, because nids.

It makes sense. GW's monstrous creatures make less and less sense, so logically they should go to other extreme and give a vehicle to a faction where it makes no sense.

I'd like to see the dominatrix. Also, I want to see the swarmlord become a lord of war and have his swarmleader ability affect EVERY unit in synapse range. Then, he would be fantastic.
