Are sectorial forces and linked team benefits something I should strive to obtain whenever possible?
I'm curious because if its not obviously I won't feel like to be a force to be reckoned with I'll need to do it thus giving me a larger pool of mini's to pick from but if its something that truly gives an edge in a competitive setting I'd like to know before I make the miniatures investment. (Trying to future proof myself as much as possible)

Truthfully?

It really depends on how you want to run the faction. In the case of Nomads, setting yourself up to run the Corregidor Sectorial isn't a bad idea--their stuff basically becomes the de facto "Vanilla" items anyways.

Being able to field Link Teams of certain choices when playing the Sectorial, with multiple copies of each SWC choice is not a bad idea either as nothing prevents you from using those same models in Vanilla just without the Link Team benefits.

The faction I had in mind personally was actually the Aleph. The ability to coordinate alone to maximize the order pools use seems rather strong.

It is and it isn't.

If you were to play a Sectorial for ALEPH, you would be playing as Steel Phalanx which don't use traditional Link Team rules.

Really? I don't suppose you can link me in the right direction to better info on that. If not its fine, I'll do some looking.

Fireteam: Enomotarchos is Steel Phalanx's special rule for Link Teams.

It's actually a pretty nasty rule even though it is a bit more restrictive, a regularly opponent of mine uses the Steel Phalanx and I get regularly stomped by him. Although, it probably helps that he is a better player than me all things considered.

Very nice miniature range for them and I love the concept behind their background also.

So for everyone else you can only link units that say they are linkable?

Like if I wanted to link 4 Aragoto and Asuka I couldn't because they aren't 'linkable' even though they are all the same unit time and within a sectorial list?

If they don't have the rule Linkable, then they can't be linked.

There is no "rule" of "linkable". It's a shorthand in army builders to show they can be linked. In Army 5 the word links to the fireteam entry in the wiki, though.

@SasaOmg: Yes, all troops that form the link MUST be linkable.
Sadly, neither Aragoto nor Asuka are linkable - but if they were and she was, then she could link with them to make a link. She's essentially a named character version of one, anyway. No different to the "dire foes characters", really (who ARE linkable named characters who can link with other units of their types. Bipandra can link with fusiliers, Yuriko can link with Keisotsu, etc)

Linkable bikes are something I doubt will ever happen, even in the Khanate sectorial. The order efficiency gained from being in a link coupled with their insane movement values would be pretty game breaking.

They at least would lose the impertuous orders ...

(impetuous troops aren't impetuous while linked).

When we'll see the "Duo" link team in HS3, there's definitely a possibility to see linkable bikes in the form of the Nazarova twins
Hasn't been confirmed, but hasn't been denied either

At least Aragoto are only Impetuous, so I can choose to not have them go haring out into the open if I don't want them to.
