So I am a little curious if this would work. I am thinking using the Talon Strike Force would be a pretty good fit for the Night Lords, since they are all about stealth and hit and run tactics. Assault Marines and Vanguard Veterans would use the Raptor models as best as possible. I would use the Betrayal at Calth set for older marks of armor for the Tactical Squads. Apply liberal amounts of spikes and skulls. Use Chaos versions of the vehicles(carve off most of the Chaos markings though).
Basically, I don't see the Night Lords as Chaos worshippers, but more as extreme renegades. I could easily write off some of the newer equipment as stuff they salvaged from attacking Loyalists.
Would this be a good way to make a Renegade Space Marine army with rules that don't suck?

It could be an NL warband that isn't as far fallen as the rest of the legion's remnants.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised. |

That was kind of my thought. Though, really, I could get away with using 30K stuff altogether with them. The Night Lords Taskforce set on Forgeworld would do the trick, then just get some Night Raptors.
I think I just found my next 30K/ 40K army. Though another Blue and Red army...

Works for me. Never had a problem with red marines procuring for blue or chaos as loyalist as long as the gear and options are the same. Though it froze seem to trigger severe levels of aspergers in some.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

...How does it 'trigger' repetition in behaviour or interests, or difficulties with nonverbal communication?

Well, Aspergers is associated with intense/obsessive focus on an extremely narrow range of interest, and a certain degree of inflexibility in thinking. So yeah I could see someone on the spectrum knowing the precise details of armor/weapon loadouts for heresy era space marines and becoming frustrated or irritated when someone gets that wrong... I think I'm describing myself here.
