so the mont'ka battle group command offers some nice bonus's for the commander

and specifically says creed can be taken

however do the benefits of battle group command further enhance creed? does he stay his normal 3 commands or get boosted to 4?

It would be helpful if you listed the full text of the applicable rule. What does the rule say it does?

"COMMAND BENEFITS:
High Command: A Company Commander that is part of a Battle Group Command can issue up to three orders each turn, rather than two, and can issue them to units from this Detachment that are within 24" rather than 12". "

"A Company Command Squad may include Lord Castellan Creed in place of its Company Commander and Colour Sergeant Kell in place of one Veteran".

I'd say it doesn't affect Creed, as the Benefit is for the Company Commander, and Creed is taken instead of a Company Commander.

Wouldn't give creed 4 orders anyways. It is too specific("3 instead of 2"), unlike the warlord traits that add "an additional order".

The 24" command range is questionable; in codex he replaces the co commander, in detachment he is taken in place of; which in English could be read as count as.

I would both certainly allow my opponent this, and play him that way.

Also note that he can roll on both the AM trait table and the Cadian trait table for a potential 5 orders/turn.
