Subject: What is a good amount of skyfire for a Tournament list?
Depends on your meta. Most of my lists ignore flyers, but some armies (i.e. Tau) can easily fit some in. Depending on what army you play, a good way to get skyfire might be to field a flyer of your own.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Flyers aren't very popular in competitive lists. Even a flyrant list has to land to start getting objective points. Play to the mission, use cover to your advantage and you won't need any anti air.

That is all you need honestly. 12 s6 rending shots will down pretty much any flyer that your going after. The only downside to Flyrants is they will still have their armor save.. but if you make them jink and atleast take a wound for a grounding check then that is really a win in my book.
Another option could be a ghostkeel in the Optimized Stealth Cadre. 6 s7 shots that ignore cover and are atleast bs4 is pretty solid. I know some people have mentioned success there.
