If you're taking a platoon then you need to make some changes, as this army doesn't meet the basic requirements for a platoon. A platoon is one Platoon Command Squad, and 2 squads of Guardsmen. You could; however, turn those 2 Guardsmen squads into veterans and have your basic troops covered. Are you looking for expansion advice as well?

You are going to want the codex. You have the points spaced out but units are in the wrong place. and options are not available.
Aside from that, from experience, if you are planing on running Heavy Weapon Squads, you will want to run several of them.
13 was the recommendation for that build back in 6th.
I think it may be doable now with several of the new command formations.
I am guessing you are used to marines, so I will just let you in on my difficulty with the HVY SQD.
They die easy. Way easier than Devsquads. The two wounds each is a red herring. People will shoot all of their S6 and most of their S7 at your HVY SQDs.
If they are Las Cannon squads watch out they become over targeted, and cant absorb enough fire to function as a distraction Carnifex.
Even in cover with a Ld 7 unit you only need to fail one cover save and you flee 41% of the time.
Armoured Sentinels are great if you face hordes without Krak grenades. They are surprisingly trustworthy as a tarpit your tarpit yo dog. Equip with HVY Flamer in that case.
If you do plan to run many HVY SQDs then Scout sentinels provide target saturation, and a cheaper more urgent threat. In that case I go with maybe an HK missile upgrade and just the multilazer.
Armoured Sentinels with PCs were popular for a time, and three are technically cheaper than a LR Executioner, but I just don't think I ever had nearly as much luck with them.
As for the tank, I do favor the natural LR, but not with PC sponsons in this edition they don't get to fire them. There are plenty more Tank Commanders on this board that can give you better advice on the tanks.
last thing is if you are taking a CAD take a Bunker too. Your Hotshot volly guns in there can control a whole grid square at the point level you have anyway.

Heavy Weapon Squads are part of a Platoon, and you aren't taking one. Ordnance weapons make all other guns snap shot, so PC are utterly unusable in that config, unless you forgo the Battle Cannon. Your CCS is slowed. As are your Vets. Useless. I'm pretty sure Acolytes can't take "Volley" Guns.
Sentinels are ok, quite useable with the Mont'Ka formation.
Get the codex. This is entirely a case of not knowing the army.

Another thing you could do is check 1d4chan, its a website and if you type in Why play imperial guard, it breaks down each unit pretty well. wont have points but it can give you a better idea of what you want.

What's the min squad size for vets? Ten?
If playing a mech guard army, is it advisable to take a platoon?
What sponsons are best for Leman Russ?
