Hey guys, as some of you may know i have a custom space marine chapter that i would be interested in bringing into the new crusade. I just wanted to know the details of it if there is any, i also am toying around with bringing in some dark eldar but i will decide that later on. Thanks in advance

Hey everyone sorry i have been absent of late, so let me just clarify a few things. The new crusade is on one planet with a few islands with chaos having a secret base under a mountain and the loyalist forces on the space station above ?

Ah yes i went back to see the maps and i found the roster for the second sun, thinking of deploying near the Tau scum but im not sure.

I'd like to deploy at Zeveran's landing on the isles of pratt and fortify it, any objections? (Its on moon 1 btw)

Better start working on a intro. Any idea when the current crusade ends and the new one begins ?

Just wondering, will we have fleets ? Even if they just orbit the planet and the two moons ?

Was thinking of a gaelic naming scheme for mine, but i gotta fiddle with their names a bit. Should i just go full irish with the names ? I mean I doubt anyone could pronounce them but i could try and write it phonetically for you guys, any opinions ?

Cearul - pronounced: “kar + ul”
Ardan- pronounced: “are + dawn”
Faolan-pronounced: “fwail + awn”
Tadhg-pronounced: “ti + gue”
Odhran-pronounced: “o + ran” or “o + rin”
Lorcan-pronounced: “lor +can" ( an easy one )
Cabhan-pronounced: “kav + an”
Dubhlainn-pronounced: “dove + lin”

Hope this helps you guys in the future when you read my chunks. If I add any new names i'll be sure to add phonetic versions of them like above

Just wondering should my intro be about entering the system first or landing on the planet /moon ?

Was thinking that War Kitten, i am indeed landing on moon one but its on a group of islands called the isles of pratt. Anyone got any idea on the terrain here ? Tropical jungle or more boreal ?

Alright then, i'll just contact one of the inquisitors to announce my force's arrival. Fun times for both wolves and hounds it seems, shame if something were to happen to them

I know it is early days yet but I noticed that the imperial forces on moon one have deployed in a triangle around Mek Slabkill, prehaps a three pronged assault in the future ?

For anyone who didnt see my thread about my forces,a space marine chapter by the name of the Emperor's Hounds. They distrust the inquisition but are not powerful enough or have enough influence to oppose them like the space wolves do, so they curse them under their breath.

As for their paint job I imagined them to be dark purple with a silver trim but I discovered that to be similar to the soul drinkers so I added white on the helmets and other areas. My main worry is that they are too similar to the space wolves in the way I named a few things in the organisation of the chapter. They adhere to the codex mostly with a few changes. Instead of 10 companies they are called packs. Each company is led by a alpha marine. The chapter master is called the great hound and the chapter prefers close combat to ranged.

They have a homeworld in the segmentum tempestus and it is a feudal world, with villages,castles,vassals and limited technology. It pays its tithes to the imperium in terms of food and manpower. The chapter recruits many of its warriors from the population but in an effort to avoid culture shock tries to recruit its serfs in the surrounding worlds. The planet is often targeted by Dark elder raids which strike a village and are generally away with their slaves before the marines can arrive. This has caused a deep hatred to burn in the hearts of every marine for the elder and they don't distinguish between the two types of xenos.

They try and be cooperative to there space marine brother chapters and respect the imperial guardsman,PDF and the imperial citizens as a whole. As a result of their distrust of the inquisition they do not get on with the Exorcists however and see them as lap dogs of the inquisition and they try and stand up for the chapters that are looked at with suspicion such as the Black Dragon.

As for my forces in this crusade, The hounds will be sending the 4th pack under Faolan Gall, an experienced Alpha marine.

Some of the squads are as follows:
Honour Guard Madra
Assault squad onóir
Assault squad Trodaithe
Assualt sqaud Brí
Assault squad Dílse
Tactical sqaud Uirlis
Tactical squad Mara
Tactical squad Fraoch
Devastator squad Neart
Devastator squad Bua
Plus a few odds and ends ie apothecary, chaplin, librarian ect.

Been thinking of adding a dreadnought but i have no idea how many of them are typically in a company, i suppose it varies from chapter to chapter but does anyone have a rough number as to how many i should field?

TS im already blown away and we haven't even started. I thought you were playing as a force of adeptas arbites, must of misread the roster. As to the eye of night's request i also do not play 40k so i have no models. It is my intention to get some space marine models though and when i do i'll paint them in the hounds colours. I did mess about on bolter and chainsword though.

Hey guys, so im working on that introduction I mentioned and i just wanted to run a concept by you. So my marines are from a world called Aspen and with the theme of my chapter being hounds i thought i'd add well some hounds. I was thinking of calling them aspenian hounds and would be roughly the size of a attack bike, they would not be strong enough to be used as calvary but i thought they could be used to assist scout squads or flanking the enemy. So what do you think ? Am i stepping on the space wolves toes with this ? Or should i just write away like a madman ?

Personally I like the idea of fighting alongside big dogs more than marines mounting battle Corgies. But it's your guys if they want to storm the battle field atop Chihuahuas who am I to say no

pretty much, kharne I probably will introduce a dreadnought at some stage but that doesn't mean you cant. Quick question, is it ok for a apothecary to mess with the dogs DNA to make them stronger or would the inquisition be suspicious ?

The moons were called Crion I and Crion II respectively, AFAIK.

Luna Maximus is moon 1 while Luna Epsilon is moon 2 the world itself is called Crion

Segmentum Obscurus is the sector of space not too far away from the Charrdon sector (I remembered there were certain request for the sector so that can be changed.)
