So I borked a purchase and got some nurgle units. Now don't get me wrong I love them and iv been wanting to purchase them, buut....I purchased them thinking my ork weird boy could summon them. I was very wrong and now im stuck with some nurgle. Now what I wanting to ask is would it be better to run them as Demon allies with my orks or to do ally CSM with a sorcerer to summon them? I really want to do a mass FNP army of orks and nurgle((plus it gives me some invul units woo!)). Thank you for any advice in advance.

Weirdboyz can summon daemons as all psykers except grey knights have access to daemonology; they just peril on any double.

Depends on the units. Some can be summoned through the Wierdboy on Malefic, others can't.

CSM make for a decent ally...access to Fearless tarpits, Ignore Cover AP3 and FnP is good for Orks. AoC is sweet too.

The situation could be a lot worse... you could have accidentally bought something from the Tau range and have that sort of shame *hur hur*

Orks / Chaos allies could be a good idea, bonus points if you go for Nurgle-Orks and name them Norks

Orks with Chaos Daemon allies could be a lot of fun. Bonus points if you nurgle-up some of the boyz with nurglings, horns, and pustules

This thread is great as a fellow Ork player (I'm just starting though) because I already play Chaos Daemons and the Idea of Pirate Ork wizards running around and summoning sickly plague-riddled monsters is just amazing.

Which Nurgle daemons did you buy?

Just don't get carried away with buying more nurgle.
Sommoning daemons requires a lot of dice and is quite risky. Your ork weird boyz aren't good at surviving perils wounds not at generating dice. On top of that the powers are generated at random and you are only guaranteed to have the primaris. So don't expect to summon more then 1 or 2 units.

Nurgle models that you can summon are:

Plague bearers. : With primaris
Nurglings: with primaris
Greater deamon
Herald of nurgle
Plague drones

Nurgle models you can't summon :
Spawns
Beast of nurgle
all the new fantasy stuff

Also keep in mind that you are not the best allies .
They suffer from the one eye open rule if I am not mistaken.
