A few days ago I realised I probably only painted around 10 models in 2015, prompting me to get everything out and have a good look. Looking back, I'm pretty happy with how things turned out, especially the containers! In particular these Dakka painting challenges have been a blast.

Technique-wise I'm still learning and always will be, there are tons of fantastic painters on here and I'd love to hear any comments and feedback that anyone has.

As far as next year goes, I want to learn how to use an airbrush properly so I can speed things up a bit!

Started this Ragik for the Fast & Furious Dakka Painting Challenge, but didn't finish in time. Oh well, better late than never!

Finally, I have a painted HVT in the form of the O-12 High Commissioner! I nearly went with the classic black and red, but changed to this alternative scheme at the last minute (one of the three schemes that were given as voting options by Corvus Belli for the studio paint job)

The hazard stripes took me forever but were worth it in the end I think!

Everyone together!

Everything looks bloody brilliant but Haqq in particular are lovely. Can you tell me your recipe for the green and cream bits on the Haqq?

Really nice work all round Arclaw. The Nomads in particular for me are

2015 was going to be the year that I got my act together with Infinity and got things all painted up, but for various reasons it just didn't happen.

Really hoping that I can knuckle down in 2016 and stick to just 2 or 3 projects and see them to completion!

As mentioned above, really nice terrain there too.

Keep it up!

Really nice work on the minis and terrain. Makes me want to get my Operation Icestorm figures out and paint them finally...

Yeah sure! I use GW & Vallejo paints, and the general recipe is basecoat->wash->layer/blend/highlight->wash->highlight.

For the cream colour the base is GW Zandri Dust, for the layers and highlights I mix in progressively more Vallejo Bonewhite (up to pure bone), and the wash is GW Agrax Earthshade.
For the light green, the base is GW Deathworld forest and again I mix in bonewhite for the layers & highlights, and the washes are first Earthshade and then GW Athonian Camoshade.
The darker green I always seem to arrive at by accident- basecoat is GW Castellan Green, and for the layers/highlights I mix in (you guessed it) bone, but also some GW Elysian Green- and the washes are first Earthshade and second a mix of Earthshade & Biel-Tan green (Biel-Tan green stains really strong, so you have to be careful with it and thin it down a little).
