So I've recently discovered that this overlord build is absolutely cheese

Use the Shield of Baal warlord traits/relics

Give him Edge of Eternity, Solar Thermasite, phase shifter, and nightmare shroud.

You have a S8Ap2 warscythe do to the thermasite, and a 2+ save re-rolling ones, with a 4+invulnerable and (in a RL) a 4+ reanimation roll. Also precision strikes on 2+ and armor bane.

I would feel bad for fielding this, especially with lychguard with sword/shield

Thoughts?

Exactly, but even without the shroud it's still beefy and if you want to crank it up, you can give inhuman Iwnd and a res orb

orikan does the rerolling 1's thing better. If you still him with those lychguard you have 3+ rerolling 1's then if you stick any 2+ character you have 2+ rerolling 1"s

Reanimation protocol can never be better than 4+ . Other wise I would have it 2+'re rolling one. I have thought of it thoughh

In any case it isn't a big deal to lose Precision Strikes. In return you save 10-pts and get AP1 instead of just AP2.

Also, EoE says you have Precision Strikes. It doesn't say you Precision Strike on a 2+.

Edge Of Eternity is fething weird the way it is worded. I mostly refuse to field any of those relics to be honest as I don't like mixing things up, and therefore end up accidentally making things illegal.

Most I've done is run a Conclave with one of my Decurion lists and have a C'Tan Booster and Veil on one dude, and then the Solar Staff on the other. I STILL get nervous doing that.

It's in a weird place and some people overlook it, but you can find it on p.26 (The Cryptan Alliance) under UNIQUE WARGEAR.

Solar thermasite isn't a WiH relic and the shroud is an artefact of the Aeons. Those are seperate categories

Yeah, that combo is fine. It's just the Solar Thermasite and Edge of Eternity which isn't allowed.
