I've been messing around with my list for my world eaters legion and I have 130 points left. I can't decide whether to add a second predator with lascannon sponsons or to go with a vindicator with a laser destroyer array. The pred had more shots which would be good for cracking open transports and hurting infantry squads but the vindicator would be better at taking down the bigger things with its twin-linked AP1 gun. I don't have too much else in the AT category so that might be of more use.

What do you guys think?

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

If you have the points, the vindicator. With the laser capacitor rules, it lays down almost as much fire - two to three twinlinked shots with ordnance matches the predators 'normal' lascannons easily.

Thanks for your reply.

I just found the laser capacitor rules on Forgeworld's website today and they made the decision for me. Definitely going for the vindicator

As someone who runs the vindicator like religion, I feel it should cost a fair bit more.
The firepower from it is insane.

I tend to use it simply for deleting heavy armour and it never fails to do so.

Even if its out of armour to hunt, elite troops are fair game too and it can rack up points very quickly.

I find this and the whirlwind scorp. To be amazing together.

Agreed the vindicator laser destroyer is amazing at 130pts, woefully undercosted like the Scorpios, makes a good mobile hunter too with pms, people don't expect you to move it.

It is. The Scorpius is a marine-squad-remover.
