I picked up the Beyond the Gates of Antares rules and I like what I see so far. Anyone out there working on a 40k conversion? Looks like it would be a good fit.

I'd have to look in more detail. Most attempts to simplify 40k or convert it to another system suffer from the fact that most simpler systems aren't granular enough to represent the variety of armies/models/weapons; I read a beta copy of BGA and it didn't look like you could do much with it, but there are bits in the linked page that make me wonder.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

The beta rules were missing a good deal of the final rules, including vehicles. The final version is much more comprehensive. No flyers though.

Based upon the glowing reviews I've heard so far (most recently on the D6 Generation podcast) I am hoping to see some interest in a conversion.

BTGOA would be good for a skirmish game of 40k,Sort of RT 2nd ed size games!

(I think this is the rule set Rick wanted the 40k skirmish game to actually be.Rather than the hatchet job the rushed 3rd ed 40k battle game ended up as.)

But to try to get the current size game of 40k working with the BTGOA rules would not work that well.
