Hey all. I am taking a break from painting my (mostly) Nurgle coloured CSM and decided to do up a quick 5 man of Possessed for KDK. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions for painting them Khorne without just doing the usual all the red and gold scheme. Just looking to get them to a table top standard or a touch over that.

Paint them white with red and brass highlights. I've seen white blood letters before, and they were quite striking, and I could see that same magic working on the possessed models, as well.

You're not really going to be able to get 100% away from red, (they are Khorne, after all) but you can use that as an accent, as opposed to the primary color. Just don't do blue, pink, or green, and you should be able to keep the Khorne theme.

while not quite white i like the idea of maybe a pale fleshy colour on the non armour bits. Maybe that's the way to go.

Could do white and blue armour parts with black or orange fleshy parts. White and blue are the original colours of the World Eaters and Black or orange be very striking, as well as black working well as "Bloodletter" skin. Then just go mental with blood effects.
